I made a note of what you said...I'm holding off for now, I know the Ford wouldn't get that but it's 10 grand and clean...cheapest I've seen in the Chevy version is 16000, I'm trying to avoid payments if I can...thanks

Pretend I'm stupid (it's not a stretch) why does it matter how many gears when the overdrive ratio is the same? Ford 5 speed and 4 speed 0.71 and 0.70

I had the thought, unsure the difference in mpg it would make...a bubble van would work for me, can't find any around with the rear barn doors...I don't want to end up spending close in payments to the long and tall 2015 Transit I saw sell for $20,000 for an older truck when all is...

Big Truck Just curious...HOW do you make money in a straight truc

As a cargo van driver, I was always curious...how do you guys make money? I heard when diesel was up it cost 80 cents a mile just for fuel, and the per mile rate isnt that much more than vans... HOS limits your range, repairs and tows cost a fortune, not to mention insurance...cost of...

Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

Lately that's my most travelled route...thanks for the heads up, I only think in DOT terms internet says 9600 lbs = 4354 what's the max GVW to be safely left alone here? Or does the fact that it looks over 4500 mean i'm doomed to be constantly checked out? And I've never done the yellow sticker...

Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

Through that stress induced rant I think I missed the fact that an E350 Aerocell CW can achieve 17 mpg on the highway, but not a 4 speed with 4.59 gears. Thanks, Moot Can anybody confirm? I got 21 mpg over hundreds of thousands of miles with a 7.3 E350 so yes I can go easy...

Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

Well I pay less than 2000 for vans, do all my own maintenance (trans went, switched out my spare in the driveway in t dark) and 500 miles costs me 35-45 in fuel...maintenance runs me another 1 or 2 thousand, then I scrap van after 2 years...don't get me wrong I do admire you guys sipping coffee...

Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

Good advice, now that you mention it, in the last few years I've seen a lot of pulled over cubes, and pickup/trailers...felt immune to it in the normal cargo van
