Our sleeper is a 126" ICT Can't really think of anything I would change except maybe the corner caps on the exterior. Should have chrome or aluminum as the paint has had to have been touched up twice from rock shots. We may remove the micro and convert to a convection microwave. Just a...

    allisonauto vs eatonautoshift

Hey Glen, Any idea on the cost? The 10 speed would certainly give you better fuel economy. Can that be mated to any engine or just the larger 350hp plus motors. Davekc

CAN'T FIGURE WHERE THE MONEY IS

the .15 percent you refer to is caculated after ALL your expenses are deducted. Not on the total of your 60% gross. Hope that helps Davekc

I have had good results dealing with Palmer trucks. We certainly have had good luck with our truck. Davekc

I think 2legman is uninformed. Yes, expediting is not a booming business... in Hawaii. Too bad. Everywhere else it is thriving. Apparently he did not attend the Expo. I think he would've come away with a very different opinion. Davekc Large sleeper is much cheaper than a divorce. Pennies on the...

    allisonauto vs eatonautoshift

18,000 just for the auto seems on the high side. Is it a 6 speed or something higher? Davekc

    Fed Ex Contractor lawsuit

If that is part of their contract and you agree to it, then you are stuck. Good point if you are driving for a fleet owner? I don't see a problem with it if they are paying for it. Davekc

    Resume

Kerry thinks he can lead the country because of 4 months in Nam. He has been in the senate for 18 years yet mentioned his senate experience in 15 seconds during the dem convention. My person thought if he only mentions in 15 seconds what he has done over the last 18 years, that should be about...

    Kenworth or Pete

We like the KW. Pete and KW are clearly the most durable of the class 7's. You give a little in space but you can't beat KW service. When you look at the resale end, KW and Pete bring alot more than their competitors. The only other class 7 truck that uses some class 8 components is Sterling...

    B, C, D or E Unit

Not a bad idea. It would seem the hardest part would be comparing different years ect. In a up economy vans and straights probably do better, but when it turns south, TT will do better. Especially if fuel keeps climbing.

    truck downpayment

As with anything, if the down payment is lower, expect to pay higher interest. And as Lawrence mentioned, finding one with a low down payment are almost non existent. There are a few selling no or very low downpayment, but they are selling a 70,000 truck for 85,000. Really do your homework and...

    Trade in Value

You would do much better selling it yourself if they only offer 25,000. Your truck will be resold for 40,000 to 50,000 depending on condition ect. As Glen mentioned, sleeper manufacturer, and several other items would determine what you could get out of it. Price of used trucks are climbing as...

As long as I'm at it a ? about airconditioning

A wall air conditioner would require the use of a generator. They draw too many amps to run off the truck. If cost is a issue, get a used one of a rv trailer. Pretty cheap and easy to install. RV dealers down here in FL usually have some used units and would install it for you for a reasonable...

    Placement of E tracs

I would follow the earlier comment. Make sure your carrier will accept your box configurations. You also want to make sure you have a commitment from them to ensure they will be taking the type of vehicle you are describing. For example; some companies only put vans on at certain times of the...

Why you should always check bridge height...

I think I would have let the air out of the tires and slid it out. Better than a crunched box.
