As long as I'm at it a ? about airconditioning

I live on a the top floor of a condo in Chicago. With a flat roof it gets awfully hot in the summer. I have a thru the wall airconditioner for the main living and a portable (on wheels) one for my bedroom. It does a great job of keeping it cool and is easily vented out a window a run a small hose from it to a drain for the dehumidifier and it didn't set me back much. After looking at the cost of the roof mounts I was wondering if it would be possible to use one like this in my truck. The sleeper is going to be definately a lot smaller than my bedroom. Just a thought...what do you guys think? Thanks once again in advance

A wall air conditioner would require the use of a generator. They draw too many amps to run off the truck. If cost is a issue, get a used one of a rv trailer. Pretty cheap and easy to install. RV dealers down here in FL usually have some used units and would install it for you for a reasonable price. Maybe even camper world would do the install for you, but they would not offer a warranty.
Just an avenue to consider

It's funny you asked about that style of A/C unit as a freind the other day asked me about your same setup. We both agreed it would work, and venting it out a wing window would work just fine. Best of luck and please keep us posted how it works out?

seen a guy the other day with a fedex truck and he had a window unit hanging out his drivers window. Had a small gas honda generator running it.
