Paid miles per month, yearly average??

First I would look for a company that pays more than $1.15 per loaded mile. You should look as well to expect 100% of the fuel surcharge from the owner if you are paying for the fuel. Keeping that in mind, it should put you closer to .80 per mile with .30 per mile going for fuel, tolls, food...

Paid miles per month, yearly average??

I agree with Glen. It is the revenue you have to watch, not the miles. We average pretty much the same miles as a team. Too many trips out west do effect that figure with a straight truck or van. Singles generally do about half. Maybe even less with the new HOS. That is probably going to change...

    Tell me if this wrong...

If the driver is paying for the maintenance, he is not your driver. You are leasing him the truck. You at that point can't make any other demands. If for example the driver decides not to drive for a month, you would have no say. Secondly, if the driver is maintaining your truck, you would not...

    Ford "sprinter"??

RE: Ford one of those deciding factors might be the maintenance history on it. Since it is from Europe, I will have to do some checking to see how that info can be obtained. Is there a consumer reports in German? I was thinking maybe cheaper, but with limited options on Sprinter I think Terry...

    Owner Operator Question ?

All of the above just goes to show that there are many paths to success. The wife and I have been very fortunate before expediting. Even now, the majority of our luck has not come from expediting, but from other business adventures. We do however have a passion for this industry and have been...

    Ford "sprinter"??

RE: Ford That might be interesting if there is any information available. Do you know how long it has been in production in Europe. Sprinter will tighten up their act once some competition is on the corner. It will be interesting to see what happens. This should be of interest to alot of folks...

    truck downpayment

forgot to mention; make sure you clearly understand what kind of loan you are signing. You want one that each payment contains a portion of principal with your interest per payment.
