Not Happy like many of You

Probably just a sales pitch to claim that they can offer it to customers. They should have jumped in when Panther did. Might be a little late. If they go in with the intent to beat the price point, it will have little affect. Why? Not many lined up to buy a 150K reefer only to run it at reduced...

Prince of Freight 1.33 for a Tractor

Not out of TX. I see a lot of budget carriers running straights out of there for a dollar or less.

Not Happy like many of You

Are things really the same? Not really. Many posts are assuming all things equal when they actually are not in many cases. The typical average Panther straight (non reefer) is running from 1.20 to 1.40 plus FSC and then higher for Elite loads. Now compare that to what. 1.12 at E1 or 1.05 at...

That would be good advice or pick up the difference doing a few broker loads as those count on your acceptance. As with any carrier, just have to adapt and work their system.

My crystal ball says its a Cat driver stuck in a dirty pan. Getting to a clean pan will have a little to do with what type of vehicle you are driving.

Could be a competitor in the expedite world, but I think they need a longer version or a much cheaper price than the others.

    Tri-state vans

One thing I have noticed, or maybe just a cynical observation is that business is picking up for the larger carriers. Some of the smaller outfits are still struggling even with some over flow coming from the big three. I think some are expanding their van count because they are struggling to...

    APU come through!

Didn't throw a belt but we did have to use it once to keep the truck and lights running when a alternator went out.

    Personal conveyance

I guess it would depend on how much running around you would be doing. If your doing a lot, I would think you would be logging that anyways.

    Personal conveyance

If you are a team, each driver can take the 30 minutes. I think you can take another after your full break but I don't recall any of our drivers asking about doing that. One driver say can go 20 miles to somewhere, and then the other can drive back. Haven't had any problems with it so far.

    Kepping Our Fingers Crossed!

I would agree with Chef on this one. The ones that think different would be better served to wait it out on the porch. Remember, if there was that one great place, everyone would be there.
