Are you Happy with your carrier

Panther has been getting the job done up to this point. They do come with their moments of aggravation, but I don't currently see a carrier that can consistently meet our revenue expectations and let us operate as we do.

    Carrier Poll

None of the above which isn't a choice. I would likely use my authority and become another competing carrier.

I would be surprised if that actually fixed your problem on the air bags.

As it should be. Hopefully she goes home and stays there.

San Fran bans toys in Mc Donalds Happy Meal

Toy Nazi is right. That constructive time should have been used for something worthwhile. In California? I find it amazing that they elect the same people and are going to expect different results. Well, maybe Nancy will lose here plane.

Low pressure switch/sensor is the culprit. If by chance that checks ok, then the check valve or brake module is bad or the wiring to those units.

Assuming the cruise is not on the turn signal assembly, the bulk head module again is where I would look. If it is in the turn signal assembly, then replace the multi-function switch. About 49.00 dollars. Some trucks have the cruise and headlight voltage going through the same module. The...

That headlight issue could be right from the turn signal switch. It is not getting a clean disconnect at the contact. If that has been replaced, check the wires going to the bulk head module. If they look good, disconnect and have the module tested at Freightliner. Sadly, very few...

Another brilliant offering from Freightliner. You have a multi-function turn signal switch. The contacts have worn and it likely needs replaced. You can take the assembly apart and apply dielectric grease at the contacts, but that is a temporary fix. Very common problem on Freightliner and...

    Wind Blows in Our Favor

The driver has to make that first decision not the carrier or the customer. There is no load worth crashing over. A carrier or customer that would make that insistence on one of my trucks in unsafe conditions would find their freight sitting in the parking lot. Any comment after that, they...

I think Chingon reads what he wants into a thread. Must be picking up some of that cheap freight this morning? I don't see this as a negative thread at all. It seems to me to be more along the lines of "current state of the industry" and how some are and aren't reacting to it. Cheer...

    E-Book reader, anyone?

I am thinking of getting one of these for the wife. Since I know nothing about these, how do you get the books on it? Directly from the Kindle or are they downloaded from your computer? Before I forget, does it do audio for everything, or just certain ones? Have to agree. Could be a game...

    All State Express

The smaller ones seem do things in a much more direct manner. They also have a fraction of the overhead. Some (not all) live and die by the success of the larger carriers and 3pl's as that is where they source their freight from. That is why when the economy went south, many smaller...

With regard to vans and the 12 LDB wrote FSC this week is 12.33cpm but you have to remember that's on every mile not just loaded miles provided you are going where they ask you to go and if it's over 50 miles of deadhead there's deadhead pay on top of the 12.33fsc. That will make some...

    All State Express

Some won't get it and will just essentially become logistic companies. Driver shortage I was refering to was more for straights and tractors. Vans would fall into it only if they become regulated. Probably will be more outside work for a time as those larger carriers can't cover their...
