Unless the carrier has made the mistake, they are charging for the delay unless in your case you are actually using Fedex's own brokerage service.
Any other case I have never seen a carrier not charge.
PJ is correct in that not all brokers are 24/7. Some aren't even at every crossing. Just...
Not surprised on the Freightliner guess.
Not all, but most FL's couldn't fix a flat on a bike without replacing the whole thing.
From your location I would likely go to Scott's commercial in Toledo. Most of his business is from Freightliner. He fixes the stuff they screw up or can't figure...
I would go with Greg. Just about any fan hub can be rebuilt. That is assuming it was even needed.
Some places have technicians, and others are part changers.
Was this done at a Freightliner dealership?
Well....I hate to see you sitting there Phil. It is certainly frustrating.
Now.....another reality check.
The fault could lie in several places but the reality is many carriers (mine included) are charging between 125 and 300 per hour detention to have you sitting. There is no incentive on...
They are pretty much trouble free. We have had both now duro-therms and colemans. Both do a good job. Had several with the heat pump option but it is kinda so-so. Not sure on the BTU's but they will freeze you out sitting in 100 plus degrees in AZ.
Having the proper generator is key in extreme...
As with the others, I would call to get specific information, restrictions, and guidelines so you know what you are doing.
The only item that the broker would generally need is you Panther MC number, type of trailer, dimensions, and your rate.
The home time board is IF there is a load going that direction.
Nothing more, and nothing less.
I do agree though on one thing, your best bet is to look at all this from the porch.
No clue on the lease purchase 1.06 per mile. .54 cent FSC per mile on a tractor seems pretty reasonable.
As for the other trucks regardless of size, they are going to start paying 100 percent of the fuel on all DH miles.
I think that is a very positive step.
Hate to bust your bubble but Panther's job isn't to get you loads to your house. Sounds like they had plenty of loads, just not the ones going in the direction you wanted. Your personal agenda seems to be a bigger problem rather than whether they have enough loads.
If you have sat for five...
Call Wally or Gale in the broker department and they can give you the password for CHR. As for what loads pay, some are pretty decent, but you do have to look more than once.
I would agree with Charles. See a lot more freight for straights and semis than I do vans. Many of the smaller loads can be found but companies take several at a time.
This thread and response might explain it.

Not sure if that helps or not?
No it does not. I would go with the other thoughts. Bad ground, bad batteries, alternator too small, wrong gage wires, or the surge from the appliance is higher than the inverter can handle.
I am happy for you with your future retirement plans. At the same time kind of disappointed with your view of others.
This quote specifically.
"But successful and financially sound business people do not share their knowledge for free"
That is not a fair assessment. Your very designs were a...
There is money and opportunities out there. But like any business, a lot has to do with what you make of it. Some prosper quite well, and others simply lose their shirts and go bankrupt.
