There are a few companies that will let you drive with a permit. I don't know if Panther will let you do that anymore, though they did a number of years back. Also, check with Scott (X1-SRH on here) from Express-1.

What you could do is take an hour or two with either an examiner or an instructor at a trucking school to go over the inspection with you. Most likely, they'll have a cheatsheet with a diagram of the truck pointing out the inspection points. Good luck!

Being that figure is an average of ALL D-units, that includes white glove. Take them out of the equation and you're looking at alot less.

In your situation, I would look into Landstar Express. From what I understand, their system allows you to choose where you go according to their loadboard. Talk to a recruiter though. I don't think their website has everything down that you should know. Hope that helps. T-hawk
