    Stolen Fuel Cap

I like the paint idea [I had a cap stolen once], and have already applied it to my aluminum load bars. My new Save a Load bars are already purple. :D

Thank You Lawrance for expo 2010

If Lawrence were the type to get a 'big head', he'd probably be insufferable about now, lol, but I hope he's maybe just floating on air a little, at least - it was a GREAT Expo! Also deserving of special thanks are Bob & Linda Caffee, [the roundtable discussion was first rate - everyone on the...

    Read this...then do it

It's good advice - but I'm still laughing over an email warning you about emails that direct you to forward to lots of people, ending with a suggestion that you forward it to lots of people. :D

How are straight truck drivers driving for fleet owners doing mileage/income wise?

Re: How are straight truck drivers driving for fleet owners doing mileage/income wise A newbie is nearly always better off to drive for an owner first, to see whether expediting is what they want to do - many find it isn't, once they've been out here awhile. Teams [preferably husband/wife] are...

    prayers and thoughts needed

Thanks, Myvan. Could you provide an address, for those who would like to send a get well card, maybe?

    Expo BBQ

Especially if you've ever been to one at the "World Famous" [I really don't think they've heard of the place in Tasmania, do you?] Detroiter, lol. Lawrence & his staff have done an amazing job, and I'm looking forward to seeing old friends, and meeting some new ones, and maybe buying some of...

    July 2010 Locations

Too funny: I cruised into the Knoxville TA Friday, enroute to Greer with a load, and saw just the corner of Jeanie's truck - but with that truck, that's all you need to see. We had a quick 'ketchup' chat, and now I'm making my leisurely way to Michigan by Monday morning.:)

    My wife JuJubeans!! Congrats Babe...

WTG, JuJu! And the garden [fresh veggies & the physical work to produce them] is a big help, I bet. :)

    Rand McNally TND 700

[Shrugs] If the flipflop fits, I'm way too cheerful to take offense. Because I solved the problem, not you guys. [And because I'll need to ask for help again, one day, lol...];)

    Rand McNally TND 700

Mission accomplished!!! Except not the way I thought - instead of buying an MP3, I got a micro SD card, [the 'outside drive' did appear on the screen, though I'd never used the port on the Nuvi before] and used Windows Media player to sync the file to the SD card, and that worked - the audiobook...

    Rand McNally TND 700

As I think I understand the logic behind Turtle's suggestion of a multiport hub, I just got one - no luck with that, either. But it does solve the problem of the USB ports being so close together, at least. Now I'm just gonna get an MP3 player, and hope Win7 can 'see' THAT.

Okay, so i wanna be a driver!

Re: Needing Knox, TN Driving Job! P I responded to the same post elsewhere - please refrain from posting the same thing in several forums/threads - it makes keeping up with replies difficult.

    Needing knoxville, tn driving job!

It's tough to answer, as there are so many unanswered questions: is he a company driver, [sounds like it, with mention of benefits]? If so, expediting isn't what he wants - we're independent contractors, and benefits consist of whatever we can afford to provide ourselves. You also don't say...

    Rand McNally TND 700

Nuvi 350, bought particularly for the Audible compatibility - far as I know, it's the only GPS so equipped. I think I'll try the multi port hub - switching ports doesn't work. Aside: who designed the USB ports so close together that 2 items won't fit side by side?!

    Rand McNally TND 700

Mark: when the issue is resolved, would you be so kind as to post the 'fix' please? I chose my Garmin specifically because it plays my [Audible] audiobooks, and I really miss listening to them.

    Rand McNally TND 700

Is what I thought, but after reading this thread, I feel like a total technotard, sigh. And worse, I have no idea how to solve the problem, so I sure hope these guys come up with a solution - and that I understand it, lol. :o

    showers for gas burners

As for showers, when I drove a van & didn't get freebies, I sometimes used a gallon of water to wash my hair, [best done in summer;)] and baby wipes filled in for the rest of the 'bath'. It was actually not too bad, considering.

    showers for gas burners

130%? More like 200%! But it's like 7-11: you pay more for the 'convenience' [as if tractor trailers have much choice, eh?]. Knowing that, we plan accordingly: buy snacks at WalMart, the Dollar Store, etc. And we grab the free water & ice at the truckstops. :)

    Rand McNally TND 700

I don't have the TND, but I have the same [seems like] problem with my new laptop [HP, Windows 7] not recognizing the Garmin that's plugged into the USB port. The 6 yr old Compaq [Windows XP] had no problem, but the new one won't transfer audio files to the Garmin, says it's not connected.
