    Apology to EO

I guess it isn't within the realm of possibility that the PM might have been worded in such a way as to warn what the 'apology' would be? I don't know - but my point was, you don't either, only LM knows, and he didn't say "I guess it's [her word] value is now known", you did. And you may be...

    Ohio CDL / HazMat Process

That's an excellent post for newbies: clear, to the point, and fair warning of why the advice always includes having plenty of 'start up' funds - everything to do with trucking is way expensive. Congratulations, and good luck! :) PS That pretrip? You don't want to forget it, now that you've...

    West Coast Expediting

A lot depends on what you're driving [van, s/t, t/t], even more on who you're driving for: some carriers have steady freight in & around the west coast, others, not so much. If you're leased to a carrier, they'd be the ones to ask - if not, it's a point to consider when choosing one. I like to...

    Apology to EO

That's just silly. Beyond silly, in fact.

    April 2011 locations!

I hope so too - did you notice if the van was CC, or was it Ground?

    Apology to EO

It would have been better if LDB had not said anything - even if he's privy to the contents of the PM, posting his comments rather than sending another PM to LLW was a bit on the snarky side, you ask me. Which no one did, but that's the beauty of public forums. ;)

$265,000 to welfare in a few years-

I see what you're saying, Danny, but what I feel is that those working folks who got thousands back may use the money to buy a decent used car, or maintenance on their home, or pay for the kid's braces, or a whole list of things [not luxuries, either] that they were postponing, or just going...

Sarah Palin's 'grand slam' anti-union speech

Nothing excuses that - but it reminded me of the behavior of some parents at their kid's ballgame. It's like they believe it's ok to be obnoxious at some events, right? I think Palin has proven to be quite adept at serving herself & her family's [financial] interests, but the general public's...

Sarah Palin's 'grand slam' anti-union speech

Whichever side they're on, I have no respect for any parent who allows [much less encourages] a child under the age of 18 to participate in any political event. Observe, absolutely - but they aren't mature enough to have an informed opinion yet, and responsible parents know it. PS Liberal...

$265,000 to welfare in a few years-

The loopholes aren't 'given' to them - they pay huge amounts for accountants to be creative about eliminating their tax burden. [Don't even get me started on what they get for 'charitable donations, either] And the insult added to injury is that they continue to benefit from the services...

    About This Birth Certificate....

Spoken like the cops who explain shooting someone in the back: "He was running, so he must be guilty!" That's not a reasonable determination of motive. I've been accused of doing something I didn't do, and the harder the accuser pushed, the more I refused to prove my innocence, because I DON"T...

    ExpediteExpo 2011

You're slow, :p I registered yesterday. BTW, I think I saw the van on Sun, at the Monroe TA gas pumps, when I was pulling out of the truck parking lot. It looked really good, and I'd like to see it close up, it's interesting.

    hi everyone

The VoltMeter won't start the van, but it has an alarm you program at a setpoint to alert you to crank the ignition. The autostart systems I've seen are on trucks - don't know if there are any for a van, but you could combine a VoltMeter with a remote starter, and stay in bed. :D

    Garden Corner 2011

I got to Minneapolis last week, and was lucky to catch Moot for lunch, but it was sooooo cold! He said it was supposed to snow [Fri night] and it did, as I was headed for Michigan [not much warmer]. I told him not to take it personally, but I'm not coming back till summer. Which is July 5th, I...

    hi everyone

Depends on how good the battery is. If you get a VoltMeter [$30.00, online], you can keep an eye on it, and see what draws how much power. And crank up the van before the batteries down too low, lol. I have both - I love the Fantastic Fan, and it draws extremely little power. Just make sure to...

EBORs Who Else is Disturbed by this Infringement

Layoutshooter is exactly right. [Yes, I really said that!] It's not about safety, because no computer can judge my fatigue, and one size does not fit all - or anyone, really. 30 minutes of driving? What happens when I need to fill a prescription, and the store doesn't have it, and I have to try...

$265,000 to welfare in a few years-

I understand the frustration of knowing that some people are getting what they didn't 'earn' and don't 'deserve'. I've worked my whole life too, without ever getting a dime from the gov't, except for a few weeks of unemployment every year, when the factory scaled back. [And even though it was an...
