No Happy Meals for The Kids...

The only wars I have any interest in are the American Revolution and the Civil War - and I don't know beans about them, really, but I do read a bit here & there.

Looking for company that allows dogs

3 German Shepherds - known for shedding massive amounts, no less. I'd have reported her in a heartbeat, if the dogs looked uncared for - but they didn't. There were food and water bowls out, no sign of slovenliness, no smell of offensive anything, and the dogs looked healthy and happy. She...

    Opportunity or hosing?

I'm wondering whether you understand that you're being offered a chance to live in the vehicle, [as opposed to a home with conveniences you're used to, like indoor plumbing] for months at a time. LDB and XO make good points, but if you can't handle living in a van, staying out for weeks and...

Already answered, with post 24. Have not changed my mind or answer since then.

Forget it - you wouldn't answer them anyhow, because you never have yet, you just go off on another tangent. Which is why these threads rival the Energizer bunny, right? I quit - I'm bored now. :D

    Truck Stop Fitness Rooms

Petro/Ta are also introducing walking trails near some locations - I'm looking forward to finding those as the weather improves. :)

    Data Qs challenge

The violation says exactly what I typed, the depth wasn't gauged [it's well within limits], the issue is some cupping around the exterior - none in the major tread area. I told the officer that I'm aware of it and am keeping an eye on it, but she wrote it as a violation. When I objected [to the...

No Happy Meals for The Kids...

Your personal history creates an interest that I don't share, which does not mean I don't believe what you say, just that the subject doesn't interest me because I am under no illusions that what I read will be factual, no matter who wrote it. How about responding to the questions I asked...

Every part of our history is important, IMO.

    Data Qs challenge

Has anyone filed a challenge using the Data qs system? I just did, for a violation on a Level 1 inspection: "left rear axle 2nd tire has wear". Based on that criteria, every tire on every vehicle on the road is in violation, right? Thanks to CSA's point system, we can't afford to blow off...

Thanks, Xiggi - I hadn't seen that warning before. Like the 'world famous' Detroiter, I think the ad exaggerates a bit in the "fabulous" department, lol, but alternatives to truckstops are always welcome. :)

It doesn't mean freedom from any consequences. It means anyone can say almost anything - but there are rules, even so. What you say here may be challenged as to accuracy, or it may just be overlooked as not worth the effort involved in understanding or debating or responding. What you've said so...

    Caffee's Cascadia

A bit of advice for Bob & Linder, if you are fortunate enough to meet the Merry Prankster: check your back doors before taking off - I loved the "Sven & Ole's Pizza" bumpersticker, but you may not want it on the new Caffcadia, lol. ;)

Thanks, Nick, for catching that before I saw it, thereby saving my keyboard from certain death resulting from a deluge of whatever I was drinking.

Um, there's a pretty big difference between "bandaged" [implying cuts & scrapes] and broken bones and stitches, I think. Had you used the actual quote in the first place, I'd have agreed, as my kids got bandaged as much as anyone's. [Little girls may look like delicate flowers, but they are not...
