    Keeping warm and cool.

i agree with Jamon123 and get an APU. There are certain parts of the country where you cannot idle your engine. IMO that is the best investment for you.

Are diesel CVs really worth it?

I used to roll in the bucks when I worked for a company that paid the national weekly diesel rate on every load. Cha-Ching. It paid for all of my fuel for the load plus some left over, while the rest of the load was usually sent home to pay bills and pad savings account.

    Air freight SoCal

Why don't you just go to the airport and visit all of the companies there. Also while you are there you might come across some drivers that haul airfreight and maybe you can pick their brains and maybe hook up with one of them. You'll never know until you try.

Will a 2000 watt generator power a 9200 BTU rooftop AC?

The problem is not the gen but the size of the a/c. The 9200 should be good for temps in the 80"s to about 90 but anything higher than that would require more btu. I don't think it would very well on a hot Laredo day. I have a 13500 btu that I run with a 2200 Ryobi gen. Works great for me...

They are a local p&d company with stations located throughout the US. Mondays and Fridays are their busiest days. Pretty much load up your truck in the morning and then go out and make deliveries and do pickups on the way back to terminal. Nice way to sleep in your own bed every night if that...
