    Canada Empty through Canada question

Sprinter. It still doesn't matter what type of vehicle it is, if it has freight on board you must have a manifest. No freight, no manifest.

    Canada Empty through Canada question

Must be a carrier thing. Over the last year I must of gone to Canada and back at least 50 times with no manifest when empty and no problems. I even came from Buffalo a few times empty and no manifest and no questions asked and I drive for one of the more known companies. The only time that I...

    Canada Empty through Canada question

I go to Canada quite often and never had to use a manifest when I go through Canada empty. The only time a manifest is required is when you have freight on truck.

    Mobil 1 Oil on sale

At my walmart they don't stock this type of oil. Now I haven't checked in a while so maybe they have it. The only one in my area that stocks this type of oil is Pep Boys and their price is I think $12.49 per qt.

    Mobil 1 Oil on sale

For the month of June, NAPA auto parts stores are selling Mobil 1 Syn oil for $5.99 a quart plus tax. This even includes the oil for the Sprinters. The reason I know is I just bought 14 cases of the Mobil 1 Esp Formula M 5-40W at my local NAPA store. I've head the radio ad also and they say...

    ceva

When I worked for Ceva (Then EGL), msot of the time youhad to find your own freight on the dock and load your own truck. Most loads were hand unloads and then you had to deal with city traffic as majority if not all laods were local deliveries. I remember coming home many a day just worn out.

    Lease or multiple carriers

I personally prefer the lease option with an individual carrier. I have done very well with any of the carriers I have been with.

    Whirlwind Express

I have never worked for this company but I feel that if a carrier wants to do business they should have the capital on hand to pay their drivers when that payday is whether it is daily, weekly, monthly or whatever else day they choose to agree to pay on. Eventually this will catch up to them in...

    NLMI-Landstar

No sense getting your tighty whiteies in a wad. Landstar mainly bought NLM for their computer system. They kept everything the same. Landstar does not give their drivers any special favors regarding NLM. If changes are coming I don't think it will effect you. Remember they are working with...
