Somehow its all comming back to me.

Race, I remember that well. I also got targetted for pointing out what seemed to be fluff. It was a nightmare that continued until recently on another site. I find myself wanting to point out certain individuals who claim all this knowledge, yet know little more than newbies who walk in the...

    Hello Panther II

Dave, so what you're saying is that after a week, Panther deems the lease terminated. Because that's the ONLY time, in the regs you've posted, that the company can withhold the money once all required paperwork is in. There are some things that can result from this, if in fact Panther is...

    Hello Panther II

TR... good job posting that. When I first saw it, I was wondering why you didn't cut to the chase. But I found out all of it is good reading to anyone signing on with a company. In fact, I recommend anyone going to orientation, take a copy of the leasing regs, and question them beforehand...

    Can someone explain!?

I understand what Leo's saying, and I think it's getting blown out of proportion. Come on, Dave... he's not talking about milage here. Everyone knows your company is also the broker. He's talking about physical labor... bending, lifting, hurting days later. Does a company plan on that income to...

    a wild and crazy idea

Exactly! I have a 48k gross on my truck, even tho I could go to 52k or more. I never intend to use the full 48 either, as 28k on my 19,000# truck would be an interesting experience, to say the least. Depending on the situation, I'd probably go 23-25k. But the most I've carried was 18, and it...

    a wild and crazy idea

With the axles right where they usually are, you still have a 52k capacity. I can see the Colonel stepping up to the plate on this one. ;)

    air brakes on a downgrade

That was more than 10 years ago. But if I remember correctly, I put steady pressure on until it went straight again, then released.

    air brakes on a downgrade

I went down Jellico the other day. So smooth, I don't remember having to use the brakes much. Far cry from the first time I went down in a truck. I was driving for JB, and my trainer was in the bunk. I saw my trailer starting to come around at 80mph. Luckily, the braking I used worked! The...

    freightliner parts

Pack... you may not be far off with that assumption LOL Wolverine FL in Ypsilanti has to be the worst. Checking the hoses, they busted one... probably with a screwdriver. Said it was burst. I found out it my temp gauge. Tap on the glass, good to go. Well... they charged me over $700 to fix a...

    air brakes on a downgrade

Easiest way is to start in a lower gear. I put pressure until 5 mph below, then let off. No way I want my brakes to glaze over by holding them down. Air pressure always builds back enough... never had the warning go off on me.

    GETTING OLDER

Pack... where do I send it? On second thought, give me your bank account info and I'll direct deposit it. I don't want you falling prey to the post office AND the IRS! :7 DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! DANGER! DANGER!

    GETTING OLDER

Send you a dollar? If a hundred ppl did that, what would you do with it? Send her back to her family? I don't think that would be your responsibility anyways... IF your story is true. We all need money at one time or another. Most of us don't resort to panhandling on the net. If you were a...

    Question Please.

Tec... I'm sorry to hear about your leg. No, you don't need a cdl to own trucks. I wish you luck on finding good drivers if that's what you decide to do.

Companies offering money for a van/truck

Feelings hurt? LOL Nah... I just usually know how things run around here. If you make allegations like that without backup (or from second hand sources), they usually get pulled. That may be what happened to yours... don't know. Do I run for Tri-State? Nope... never had the pleasure. Though I do...

Companies offering money for a van/truck

Do you like double posting? That "I have a friend" crap to bash companies doesn't usually fly around here. Besides, if your friend was 2 payments behind, that's 60 days, it usually means someone's gonna come and pick up your vehicle. And if you ignore that fact, and try to hide the vehicle, it's...
