The 3126 doewn't need to be primed when changing fuel filters and neither does the MBE engines as long as you fill the fuel filter housing with diesel fuel after you drop in the new filters. I have changed the fuel filters in my MBE with no problems.

I have the MBE 4000 series 2.8 liter class 8 engine in my 2007 Western Star. With almost 200.000 miles on it I have had no problems with it.

About the gel, put new fuel filters on filled with power service 911, add powerservice 911 to fuel tanks. that should do it. The MBE filters are drop in filters, so you would remove the filters put in new filters and fill the the filter housing with Powerservice 911.

The MBE engine is different. When the fuel filters were removed you lost the prime, the problem is that when the filters were reinstalled they were not filled with fuel first, with the MBE engines this is a must do. The truck will not reprime itself.. The only way to get it primed is to have it...
