    Question for Firearms Experts

The gas pressure of the NATO 5.56x45 round is to high to shoot in most rifles. If the rifle is stamped .223 it was not made for the higher pressure of the 5.56 round, only use the 5.56 round in rifles stamped 5.56 cal. on the receiver or barrel. most rifles that can handle the 5.56 round are of...

    Question for Firearms Experts

A .22 is execllant to learn on, I bought my grandson a nice Henry .22 for his first gun. I know the rules very well. I have 18 long guns and 2 pistols. I plan on adding more to the collection. Most of the long guns are target/varmint/tactical rifles, six are in .223 cal.

    Question for Firearms Experts

I just traded my Ruger Target Grey .22 hornet for a Savage model 25 light weight varmint rifle in .223, the .223 is cheaper to shoot, especially when you do a lot of target shooting. I have a .204 Ruger Target Grey that will out shoot the .22 hornet any day of the week. Those little .17's are...

    class 8

TSI Western Star of North Jackson Ohio can order you a class 8 straight truck from the factory. They do a great job of specing the truck for you. They can also stretch the frame of any truck you want, or have. They are great people to do business with. They do their own fabracation at their shop.

    Comfort Pro APU BLUES!!!

The a/c not cooling well is most likely caused to low freon. The 5000 series a/c hoses leak the R22 freon without it showing up in a pressure check or dye test. There is an upgrade for the hoses available, Carrier knows about the problem, if you go through your dealer he can get you the upgrade...

    Cat 3126

A 1999 FL70 with just 280k on the clock just doesn't seem right. I would be very careful about buying this truck. I might wonder if the engine passed the million mile mark and was on the second time around, hence the 280k on the speedo. Those class 7 engines are only good for about 250k or so...

    Fudruckers

What the h$#@ are you jabbering about this time? It would seem that you have a bone to pick with a specific person, why not contact them directly, instead of posting your nonsense here. One more thing, have you and your "Jenny" set a wedding date yet?

    mb4000 or dd 60series

How many miles are on each truck, and what model year is the century? If the miles are about equal and the trucks are same model year I would go with the series 60.

    mb4000 or dd 60series

The series 60 is being replaced with the DD15, soon to be followed by the DD13, The DD 15 is suppose to be a great engine. I have a MBE 4000 in my Western Star and love it. Which engine to chose will depend on the application. Will it be in a tractor or straight truck? Will it be used for...

    Interesting E-Mail

The mailing went out to everyone with an e mail address who is contracted with FECC, I don't think everyone in the FECC fleet would stay mun about it, but I could be wrong. I don't think that if it was meant to be kept they would have published it the way they did.

    Voltage

The datastar system I have is OEM and is built into the dash. Most newer trucks have them, only the name changes with the truck brand.

The Americans With No Abilities Act (AWNAA)

Finally a program for these poor unqualified people. I knew it would be just a matter of time. Next I want to see some meaningful legislation for those who are to lazy to work, I'm sorry we have that already...isn't it Welfare.

    FDCC Compared To Landstar

It sounds like Gregg has a sour grapes attitude toward FECC. I take it you and FECC didn't get along when you was with them. Just wondering, did Gregg quite FECC or did FECC show him the door?

    Voltage

The DataStar is Western Star's optional driver information center. It gives me a digital readout of everything that is going on with the truck as i go down the road. I can monitor the voltage, mpg, rear axle temp, oil temp, etc.

    Comfort Pro/Proheat APU's

The APU might not be cooling as well as it should due to low freon level. The unit only holds 32 ounces of freon, so even a small loss will make a difference in cooling. I have had to have my system recharged several times due to small amounts of freon loss. That is what the upgrades help...

    Comfort Pro/Proheat APU's

It depends on the upgrade you choose: To install a low pressure switch the cost is $60.84 To install low pressure switch, vacuum and recharge the system and check operation it costs $208.05 To do all the above and add the upgraded hoses the price will vary depending on the condenser...

    Voltage

Suds, watching the digital readout will drive you nuts, it did me. I switched settings on my DataStar so it shows my mpg instead of the voltage. The voltage fluctuates all the time as the compressor kicks on and off, as well as other things electrical happens. As long as the volts don't go up to...
