After reading some of the posts here, I wonder what the Proper procedures are. If those proper procedures are followed, how long does it take to get paid? It would only be PROPER to pay as according to the agreement if your procedures are followed? I wonder just how difficult sending in...

The carrier should stay out of the driver/fleet owner relationship as much as possible. With that said, after seeing the way some fleet owners treat their drivers, I wouldn't want my company associated with them...if I were the carrier.

One thing for those who haven't used them much to keep in mind. That pin has nothing to do with the ability of the load bar to stop freight. The pin's only function is to keep the sliding end from falling out of the tube. Should be perfectly safe to modify...in my opinion.

Those e-track bars look to me like they would be easy enough to modify. Take the slider out of one end, cut the aluminum tube to your desired length and drill a new hole for the pin that goes through the tube. If I remember correctly, the ends of those pins are bradded (sp?), but they could be...

I left trucking for a year in 08-09 (not a bad time to be out of trucking...but that wasn't the reason I left). My tool and die experience got me a good paying job....even a healthy sign on bonus. It was less than two weeks before I started seeing all the same old stuff....just different actors...

Where's the surprise? Anytime that one large corporation takes over another, there is going to be some changes made. Some people will leave because they don't want the changes, some will be forced out as part of the change. I doubt that it's personal, it's business.

I had them change mine to 1 hr. You can just call the shop, they just send it to the qc as an update.

I agree with what your saying here but it's not exactly what I meant. My thinking is that if you interviewed 100 people and military was never mentioned at any time, chances are that a good % of those with a military background would make the cut just based on their ability to present themselves...
