L-Track vs. E-Track for floor of cargo van

I would be ok with using the L-track in those kinds of applications. I just wouldn't depend on it to keep freight out of the driver's seat. That is my #1 concern with any load. There is just not enough room in the driver's seat for me and a skid of freight! :) Oh...btw... easy on the "sir"...

L-Track vs. E-Track for floor of cargo van

I have the L track on the sides and horizontal E-track on the floor with 1/2" plywood to level the floor with the e-track (1/2" plywood is the perfect thickness imo). I just don't like the L-track. I would never depend on it to keep freight from sliding forward. It's great for hanging clothes on...

    Question Regarding Whirlwind Express

Actually, you paid a percentage to get your money early...you just weren't told you were paying it. F2F is giving you the option of paying the factoring bill on the money...or wait for the customer to pay. I have no idea what %'s F2F is working on but I would bet that they are keeping FAR less...

    Question Regarding Whirlwind Express

Typically, I'm pretty skeptical when people show up and start posting a lot when, before that, they have been relatively quiet. It has been obvious for some time now, to me anyway, that rollincoal and BigBadBill were working in unison to promote and cast a favorable light on Farm2Fleet. With...

    January Locations and Banter

My sympathies to you and your family John. He has no more pain. Those left behind will grieve, but "dad" has moved on to a better place.

I wonder if there hurting vans or straights. The heavy loads that seem to be their bread and butter are straight truck loads, not van. I wonder how often they carry lighter loads?

Besides all that, van drivers...actually the over saturation of vans... kind of regulate themselves. It's tough to get fatigued circling walmart looking for the best wifi signal :D

I don't think they have the resources to regulate vans. I can see 2 scenarios that would cause it. 1. An increase in major accidents caused by vans. It would have to be enough to get national media attention. Whether it's right or wrong, a van that causes a crash doesn't get the media attention...

    TV for the van.

Cheap enough! I need to do some measuring first though.

When a truck/driver sits/takes a break for 4 weeks why does Qualcomm have to Collect?

Anything can be manipulated. A pair of wire cutters will solve most problems, if your just looking to stop the tracking. In your scenario, all it would take is a little planning ahead. I'm thinking you could transfer the qc unit in less than 15 (probably less than 5) minutes with proper prep...

    TV for the van.

Yeah, I was looking around last night and saw some pretty good deals. Walmart even had one on the shelf here for $78 or something. I'm not sure what size it was though....probably 19. I'm really looking for one with built in dvd and most of the cheaper ones dont have that.

    TV for the van.

Thanks for the info. That is about what expected to hear although I wasn't sure what others were using in regard to the ac/dc question. Thanks again!

    TV for the van.

So, I'm considering a TV for the van soon. I've got a few choices of where to get one...and a few questions. 1. Are the units sold in the truckstops AC or DC powered? If both are available, which do you recommend? (I have a generator and a single aux battery) 2. If I run it off an inverter...

What is the average weight of a straight truck load?

If your talking about general freight, dry box, most of the class 8 single axle trucks will struggle to carry a 10k payload legally. The class 7's can carry 11-12k usually. With general expedite freight, the box length and the weight capacity are the two things that will determine the amount of...

    single drivers

Depending on how close you live to a larger city, there are sometimes opportunities to run "out and back" types of loads for certain local carriers. Not a lot of us on this board that do that, but that stuff is out there. You would still likely have to have somebody to swap weeks with ya though...
