Sprinter Van Owner/Operator Looking to Run for Multiple Carriers

The biggest issue with the multi carriers that keeps popping up here on EO is pay issues. If you stick to the carriers that pay weekly, your not as likely to get burned...well, you won't get burned as bad..... if they disappear overnight like a few have in the last year or two. The key to...

    Express Logistics

But...are those numbers going to the truck or to you, then a % to the actual IC? As usual, it sounds like the freight pays fine...until it goes through 2 or 3 or 4 sets of hands, each taking a cut.

    Garmin Dezl 760

Sounds like you got it figured out. I would stick to the DeCrashme on the laptop too if I were you

Mine does all of those things...yours will too I'm guessing.

    Garmin Dezl 760

I use to want the laptop setup myself, but once I got the Garmin, it never entered my mind again. Once you learn how to use it, it's just so much handier than messing with a laptop. The early versions of truck route gps systems were somewhat of a mess, but apparently they have all improved a...

    New Medical Certification Requirements:

I think the smaller health clinics will be all over it by the time it's required. That's a big business for them anyway and this will just make it better for. You are correct though, in that they will take it to an extreme. There is too much money involved. When the referral money starts...

New Hot Shot on the Block

Hello Adam and welcome to ExpeditersOnline! If your looking for info on dually/gooseneck combination work, your not going to find much here. There are some good forums dedicated to traditional "hotshot" work. Contact "Brisco" on here...or hopefully he will see your thread and reply. He can...

    TV antennas

These are the winegard's that I saw on Amazon. If you read the reviews, many seem tothink that they are a better antenna than the RCA's? They also mention you can get 'em a little cheaper if you can find 'em in a store. Amazon.com: Winegard Company FL-5000 FlatWave HDTV Indoor Digital Flat...

    TV antennas

I was researching this a little bit last week. It seems that if you can mount it to metal (a van body) it increases the signal strength.....won't help me much with a fiberglass body though, I'm guessing. Xiggi, do you know exactly what kind of flat antennae you have? I've read some good reviews...

Good Truck News ... For Some One Else (Sigh)

I understood the wiring harness wrong. It thought you were just doing the transmission harness. That sounds like nearly a full harness and yeah, it won't be cheap to replace. The clutch for the auto I would expect to be expensive also.

    Corgratulations to Load 1

Because it's too short. They want at least 3 skids. That's my understanding anyway.

Good Truck News ... For Some One Else (Sigh)

$10k sounds pretty extreme for a clutch and a wiring harness, did I miss something? $5k would be believable but still pretty steep?

    Yellow Iron..Anything Caterpiller

I've known a few junk dealers over the years. Most of them have money to burn...lol. Of all the nice, expensive homes built surrounding our local country club/golf course, 2 were paid for in cash when finished. One belonged to a retired doctor, the other belonged to the local scrap iron...

Who has freight for straight trucks?

You can and should make the fleet owner keep the equipment in good condition, but beyond that, it's gets tricky. What happens if the fleet owner decides not to pay the driver for 6 weeks? What if he never pays the driver? It's really none of your business and could likely have legal...
