    Cargomax

If anyone is interested, I will likely be posting my Cargomax for sale within the next couple of weeks. I'll post it here in the EO classifieds. I am in the process of getting hired to haul crude oil in TX. Once housing has been arranged, I won't have any need for the van. Until then, it's...

Ground flight : modern day crooks?

I've not been through a nasty divorce but have needed an alibi before. I usually need a lot more than one. How much are the extras and are they divorce specific or somewhat generic?

    Ford Transit adds 1100 jobs

When that new vehicle is sitting in the driveway due to lack of parts and they tell you "hey, it's always like this with a new product..everybody has issues like this". Your going to be ok with that? Your bank account won't suffer? If they had announced a production date and met it...that would...

I've never been in an airplane...period. Not because of fear or anything, just never had a reason to fly anywhere really. BUT... I just can't see me enjoying flying backwards! :D

Ground flight : modern day crooks?

THAT is worth repeating! Although, driving their truck for them....well, you ARE an employee...whether you are being paid as one or not...a whole other can of worms...lol.

Ground flight : modern day crooks?

You will find this to be the case in many, many company driver situations. Those with an employee mindset tend to allow their superiors to talk down to them...more so than an o/o. Most o/o's would tell somebody where to go long, long before the employee mindset crowd.

Ground flight : modern day crooks?

I wouldn't bet on that one!...lol. I do agree though, there have been some good things said about them by people who should know. I'm sure they have good intentions and probably make some mistakes too...that's how it goes. The newer a company is, the more of that you will have as they find...

    Ford Transit adds 1100 jobs

Parts availability was my concern with the dodge. Ford should ashamed of themselves.

Ground flight : modern day crooks?

There are two realities in trucking...in my opinion. First off, if your going to be out here...100's of miles from home...you best have a bank roll to work with. Secondly, if what your doing is preventing you from having or getting that bank roll....if there is even the slightest doubt as to...

Ground flight : modern day crooks?

Couldn't you have...well, you know.... tapped her on the shoulder and told her that? Being right there in the truck with her and all? :D On topic.... Hey, maybe this is going to be a double whammy week! TK and GF the same week .... wouldn't that be awesome!

    TMC Transport

I would also suggest you check out Maverick. Depending on where you live, they may be a good choice also. Flatbed work is tough work, but I prefer that over dealing with dock workers, grocery warehouses and empty dry vans in high winds. Have you ever seen a flatbed tipped over by the wind? The...

Half a million miles, how many more?

Highway Star had something similiar...not sure of the exact engine. His was very close to 1 million when he parked it. Best I remember the engine was still going. Hopefully he will chime in.

How Are They Going to Enforce the 30 Minute Break?

Agreed...but basicly no difference than now. When it gets in court, your chances of being perfectly, technically legal are pretty slim...imo.

    May location and other nonsense

You are doing such a fine job of remaining incognito. I am sure Panther has no idea who underdog777 is.

I always send mine in late. That way I know it goes through the system immediately...since the rush is over :D

How Are They Going to Enforce the 30 Minute Break?

I suspect that the DOT will enforce it the same way that they enforce paper logs. If your logs look good and the break is shown, you'll be good to go. The problem will surface in the event of an accident. The lawyers and accident investigators will be the people who find out whether you actually...

Have you cargo vanners tried hauling air freight?

Running 50% deadhead is no problem at all if the loaded miles pay enough. I and a few others got into some freight last fall that paid plenty to make a round trip out of it. It was 129 miles loaded. I only wish they had never got caught up. It did last about 3 weeks....some of my best paying...
