    Your Truck Was Observed...

Here in Tucson, I have had first-hand accounts of people avoiding DUIs on technicalities (lots of friends of mine are police) by throwing their keys away, chugging the bottle when the cops come to the window if they're already parked and not moving, etc. And yes, its rather easy to get off of...

    CDL-A College degree!

Yep, checked into that. $3200 for 160 hours of training, 23 college credits (plus 6 paid weeks of an externship $2400 or so) And its just about as worthless as a bachelor's degree in learning how to succeed in real life.;)

    Panther Discreminating The O/o !!!!

This thread wins at Sherlock Holmes-ing what it's about. Mi llamo Daniel. Como se llama? Te Gusta Expediting? El acarrear de la pantera es muy codicioso. :D Spanish 101 is coming back to me! Or maybe not. Did I just say the Panther is a sweaty pineapple?

    CDL-A College degree!

Well, here's something that's kind of funny: Pima Community College : Professional Truck Driver - Certificate My local community college (I think the 5th largest in the country) has a truck driver program for 23 college credits. Seeing as I have around 40 credits from them already, if I...

Would you be willing to shut down??

I guess, if anything, the shutdown will boost Expedited deliveries in the weeks to follow. I know that's not the point at all, just saying... I'll go ask around at the Triple-T and see if anybody is planning to shutdown there.

    re:beware leasing

Re: beware leasing Sorry to hear about the truck, its seriously sucks to have mechanical problems with vehicles that pop up out of nowhere. I guess at least you had somewhat of a warranty of sorts, otherwise you'd be out even more $$. I'll take it under advice if I buy a truck to have...

Would you be willing to shut down??

I second the idea that the "shutdown" would be more effective if it was a shutdown to cheap freight only. (The brokers) Just make a "per-mile" minimum and stick to it. That's an effective a shutdown as I have ever seen.

Yeah, sweet! Thanks for all the info about the West. Looks like I'll be needing a reefer! I'll bet anything that it would be a priceless asset in the hot desert. 126 F in the summer in Yuma, anyone? Anyways, this plan seems to be sweeter by the day.:D

    Firearm Choices

Have a couple. I have a Sig Sauer P228 9mm (law enforcement model) that has nice squishy grips on it and has such a low jam percentage that I can't remember how many years it has been since it jammed. Excellent gun. Too bad they don't make it for the public anymore. I also have a Glock 23...

    Let's Talk Deadheading home!

That seems like a good policy at Panther, makes a lot of sense. I think I heard something about the Fed CC offering a similar service, maybe someone with them can chime in?

    Increase MPG

What's all this I hear about "super-single" tires saving gas? Wouldn't that conversion be worth it right about now given the fuel prices? Plus, better ride, quieter ride. Are blowouts that more of a concern though?
