Something a little different, but cool looking.

In my opinion, a pickup isnt a real truck unless it has an 8 ft bed on it.

    Noob Tire Rotation

Its amazing how many dont check the torque on their lug nuts on a weekly basis. I do check the air pressure in the tires as well with a good tire gauge.

I heard putting them in a plastic bag and than put them in a freezer overnight kills the germs causing the smell.

Ended up deadheading home the other day to take care of some things. Aint no sense wasting time waiting for a decent paying load if there arent any out there to begin with. 9 days with only 1- 300 mile load...smh..sure, I turned down more loads than I wanted to, but I dont pimp myself out...

I had a 72 F100, 240 inline 6, or 300? Cant remember for sure. 8 ft bed, no power steering, no power brakes, no A/C. 3 on the tree. That truck would pull a house off its foundation. Painted it Grabber Blue.

Yes, I was aware of the Econoline pickup, but never seen a Sprinter in such a way.

Best thing to coat wood van floor with?

I've seen and heard about this excellent idea for many years. Im sure it works very well. However, many times I have been loaded by a forklift driver who has a zillion things to do. So time is of the essence, and I am sure that he has no time to wait while I play Marta Stewart with carpet. And...

Best thing to coat wood van floor with?

That's what I do now, I have Lowes cut the sheets in half lengthways, than sand it, than polyurethane it with several coats, leave it in the garage to dry while I go back out in service for a couple weeks, than come home and cut it to size and screw down. If rates ever improve and stay somewhat...

Best thing to coat wood van floor with?

It looks better, more professional, easier to clean up, wipe up, and I believe it slows down the wear of wood that we put it through. Less stains.

Best thing to coat wood van floor with?

Excellent product and information. Thank you. I'd rather pay more for a quality durable product than a cheap inferior product, only to have to do it again, over and over. I noticed a 21 day fully cured time. Any input on this?

Best thing to coat wood van floor with?

So 90's?....I'm not in a fashion show here. I use what works and is durable.

Best thing to coat wood van floor with?

I may not be the brightest bulb on the tree at times, but I'm not that stupid. I'll leave that up to you know who....lol. With the recent garbage rates being offered, a new van is definitely out of the question.

Best thing to coat wood van floor with?

Thanks for the input. Im not a huge fan of water based polyurethane, as I think it gives a "milky" look to the finush, as well as not that durable, and doesnt sink into the wood as easily. I strap my freight down all the time, regardless of size and/or weight.

Transmissions can be internally intimidating. Tons of tiny parts. Tried to rebuild one once. Ended up with extra parts after I was done.....lol. I just replace them now. I'll change the torque converter, trans pump, filters, and seals, but thats it. Engines, I've rebuilt too many to count...

One of the reasons why I am leaning towards keeping my ultra dependable van. Sure, I keep looking at new vans, the temptation. But than, I read of the many posts on here of those who are experiencing repairs, and repair bills, on top of the payments. No thank you. So many seem to forget the the...

    GMC vs Ford

Sorry it took so long to reply. So, I screenshoted the frame info to my Ford friend. We talked it over and over and had mixed feelings about it, which led to us conferencing the call with Jeff, who is now a semi retired body shop owner. He did confirm that you're information is in fact...

    GMC vs Ford

Im not even getting into this. You are overthinking things. The bodies are all the same in the econline series. It is not a unibody, but a body on a full frame, all the same frame rails. I can provide part numbers, if needed to prove this. Do you know how costly it would be for the...

    GMC vs Ford

Exactly. The frame rails remain the same. A SRW has hub extensions to bring the SRW more outward. I can easily make this SRW a DRW by removing the hub extensions, if I wanted to.
