    Nissan takes aim at Sprinter

I'm wondering if it would be more reliable and less problematic than MB. Certainly service would be more responsive.

Are You Prepared For a Stolen Truck?

When I get my Sprinter I'll consider downgrading, if necessary, from the MB to Dodge or Freightliner badging.

In that situation, usually it's the wife who's the one toosh shay. Sometimes the procotologist.

    sprinter value discussion (again)

Supposedly MB is offering incentives to make way for the 2011s. Our local dealer still has several extendeds, plus reefers built into 3500s, which seems narrow-minded when even a single skid won't fit. "Only" $16k more....brrrrr!

    question for van drivers

Just a newbie here, and if this were a pop quiz for us learners, I'd say s/t's net close to c/v's if driving solo. Teams can put in more miles but have to share profits, so net is only somewhat better. More miles don't necessarily equate to higher profits. Most vans seem to run under 1000 miles...

    sprinter value discussion (again)

Right now, a new 2010 tall 2500 170" ext goes out the door in Arizona around $40k. To answer the original post, I suppose the comparison depends largely on whether you're into the Sprinter new, used or rebuilt.

    sprinter value discussion (again)

To be clear, I'm looking at western states...availability, and pricing, may be better on the east side. Typically, today I found a California vehicle, 2005 2500 118" wb, fair condition w/100k miles, asking $18 plus tax...no records, take as-is. Bank owned, can't even test drive. Offered $12k...

    sprinter value discussion (again)

That's what I'm looking for, and am seeing them for twice that, some with 200k miles. '04 model could also work if the carrier accepts a slightly older model. Better mileage, better carrying capacity, simpler mechanics than current models.

    Which truck/van is best

Dan, what's its GVWR? If you don't already know the answer, you can't BEGIN to look at vans and trucks to purchase. Read up, edumacate yourself, and then you'll have better questions to ask.

CDL required for <10K GVW Van?

If we are talking about adding a trailer, then one looks at the GCWR, not GVWR. At least, where I come from.
