But Ark... since he is in the Navy, he probably didn't go thru infantry school.

All this talk is just that... talk. Frankly, I don't buy what Marvin is peddlin, ice roads or otherwise.

IRT,
If I'm not mistaken TallCal said he was in his 60s and he runs everyday, and is in pretty good shape. How does that make you feel he is 20 years older than you and could probobly out run you. I'm sure he is use to running on hilly terrian where you are use to flat ground.

No stories or BS here. Explain to me anything that Obama has done that would qualify him as a president?

Again....nothing complicated. I have a open mind and could vote either way. Just looking at the obvious.

Hey he Beat Hillary for the Demo Party Nom thats got to say somthing, so being that he got a lot of people on his side that believe in him and if that isnt enough well if he is President your kids or Grand Kids have a good chance not being drug into a stupid war, Unlike if we vote Mcain. Now I already said I like Obamma but I want one last tour and I know if Mcain get in well I will get my wish. Vote Obama well It most likely wont happen, Vote Mcain it most likely will happen.
What else. Well geesh other than beating Hillary I guess nothing worthy. Hes not a war Hero, He wasnt in the military, He as was stated by a member is a Govt Leach like myself and anyone else that recieving a Retainer or Retirement or Medical Pension. From the Govt. Interesting
well dont matter I came up with 2 if they are allowed so sit back and make your choice. If ya say Mcain great I one step closer to getting what I want.:)

I will NOT vote for McCain ! People say he has experience... HES TOO OLD! Remember Ronald couldn't even stay awake the last two years of his term!
This is a changing world we live in today, our Bush policies don't work. Our economy is failing, and by McCains own admission he doesn't know much about economics. When Bush was asked months ago about 4.oo a gallon gasoline- he acted like that was nonsence ! How out of touch can a comander and chief be !!!!!!!!!! And don't forget the bomb, bomb, bomb, joke McCain made about Iran... I'm sorry but war just isn't funny to me????
Maybe because I am a mother to a son, or it could be that I am proud american who is not proud of this administration or it's policies... a vote for McCain is a vote for death.

IRT, as I already said once, you know the difference between veterans/military and Obama, or at least I presumed you do. Since you keep taking what I said out of context perhaps you don't. Here it is in a nutshell. The military works about 36 hours per day every day of the year with the exception of a few days leave a year. Obama does nothing except draw off the public trough. He's never held a job and while his distant background may have been more humble his current lifestyle is opulent. There isn't a member of the military that didn't work far more than what they earned.

IRT, drivingmecrazy et al, here's a newsflash and a question. Question first. Do you want another 9/11 but on a much larger scale? Newsflash, Obama will lead us to that prior to our action in Iran. IRT, you're getting your wish. We'll be in Iran either way. The difference is whether the dirty bombs will go off here first. A vote for Obama is a vote for death on our own soil. Obama is no more of a leader than Carter. Look at the embassy hostages, held for 444 days until someone to be feared was elected. Obama won't be feared. He'll be over having his "unconditional talks" and they'll be laughing at him after he leaves the room and at us for electing a jellyfish.

ha ha ha..... you all fell for it..... what a bunch of...... Obama beats hillary because the Dems wanted it that way......not because he is better but worst than her.... but they took the voting process and screwed everyone to get the results they wanted...

Go ahead vote for him, he will do the same as Carter, destroy the military and reduce it's numbers. For those who depend on your pension and you are not wounded but retiring, kiss that goodbye, he will increase the taxes on that just like he will increase the taxes on everything else.

drivingmecrazy, I suggest you to learn what is going on in your district/state and ask yourself why you voted for the people in congress who also support the president and his policies. The people you seem to think want to end the war can but will not, they don't care and it is all for show. You seem to be too emotional over the election and seem not to understand that people who have been in office for a while are the problem, not the president. AND who says the policies haven't worked or could be working... look around, there is a lot of good stuff going on with the seemingly obvious bad stuff and no democrat wants to change the things to make it all good. Age does not matter, there is a lot that you seem to miss with Reagan, he slept during his meeting with his cabinet, which I would have too with those old farts.

As for the war.... here is something to gnaw on with Obama... He will not be briefed with the real secret stuff about Iraq or the middle east until he is elected or IF he is elected at all.....well.....sometime in December he will sit down with the same people who Bush sits down with and they will go over the world and the issues with him, one by one. This is the real meat on the bones stuff, the things that only one or two senators know about and they will give him choices to make, which he will have to by the time he steps into the office for the first time.

The sad thing is most of you are fooled by the BS that he is on the senate committee on foreign relations, so he is briefed on important affairs of state (which by the way he was put on the committee to pad his resume) which is to show to those who are not in the know that he has a grip on Iraq, which he does not. The amazing thing is that he will continue the Iraq War until we have a stable country there that can completely stand on it's own (its getting there now) and he will make sure we remain there to ensure the stabilization of the area, which was not Bush's policy but Bill Clinton's, because that is what he is told we must do.

What's with the bulldozer thing? I learn how to run one when I was 12 and by 15 I had the 345 down well enough to make money not to mention the last time I was on anything it was a D11. Big deal, any kid would be able to run any bulldozer,

That Obama beat Hillary is just evidence of what a weak candidate she was - everyone knew going in that she was one of the most disliked politicians in the country. Regarding the idea that a vote for McCain is a vote for war: in case some you haven't noticed, we're already in a war. The islamo-fascists started this war because of their perception of our weakness displayed by the Clinton administration and their lack of response to terrorist attacks. Another notion that is totally naive and irresponsible is to think that "nobody cares" and that "it doesn't matter" that Obama has no experience or accomplishments in his adult life. This is the viewpoint taken by immature college kids and others who don't have a realistic view of the world in which we live. To base a voting decision like this one strictly on emotional reactions to feel-good rhetoric is just plainly stupid. I repeat my prediction that come November Obama will suffer the Mother Of All Political Defeats. Once the American people start really paying attention to the facts and comparing these two candidates, the choice is a no-brainer.

A real no brainer would be to kick both of them out of this and start over.
Mcain is too OLD 71 and Obama he hasnt got no Tooth.
Far as Clinton she was shadowed by her husband and is a realy messed up individual. She is a Tyrant and shown it to the Miltiary her hate of them. Mcain put his tail between his legs and left the military and went to off to be senator.
Obamma as stated hasnt done nothing so as some one yelled he is nothing more than a leach to the Govt.
Well Pilgram Maybe U ought to run for President.

Have fun :)

You got that right. Unfortunately, we're stuck with two choices: Bad and Worse. McCain's age makes his VP choice extremely important. Hopefully he and his advisors can get that one right.

My dad is 82 and healthy enough and by far alert enough for the job so McCain at 71 isn't too old. That's just a convenient excuse. I do agree his v.p. choice is important but that applies to any of them. IRT, since you have a problem with McCain's life choice and find him unworthy is it safe to believe you were against Kerry since he quit the military to be a senator?

Jesse who?

Oh the guy who quit being governor because it was too hard.
That one?

Yea right, if he had any brains he would have stayed in it and made some serious changes but instead, isn't Minnesota the Somali capital of North America, don't they have foot baths there too, like U of M dearborn?

Sorry Jesse there is a loser... left politics, wonders if someone actually blow up WTC 7 and may have been with the UFO senator when he saw those blinky lights flying around.

McCain, oh yea, thats right... being a prison means nothing... even those who served next to those in uniform may also mean nothing.... I don't like the guy at all but when anyone says ignorant stuff, I can't help but to say something.

For the record... he didn't quit the military to go into politics, DUH! He retired out of the Navy as a captain and was in the house for two terms before moving up in the world. Amazing that he served from 1959 to 1981 which I think he has the prisoner time counted as some merits towards retirement so it may come out to 30 years of in service time, oh and he earned his wings in 1960, 3 years before you were born.

Old? give me a break, you know that if there was any question whether or not he would make it through his first term, there are some who advise the repubs and Bush (and congress) that there is a problem with the candidate. Don't take the age cr*p like he is going to croak in 6 months after his inauguration. This is not one of the senate positions where they can replace the guy without any problems but an office where every detail is looked at and scrutinized by people far more intelligent than...you.

AND I bet you that you could not go through the cr*p he went through.
