I thought this was quite clever!  If you're parked somewhere waiting for your next load, this should kill some time.

OMNITRACS  Drive a truck.  Dispatch zombies.  Save the world

Try your hand at saving the world

The headlines are fascinating, and a little bit exciting. They talk about autonomous trucks, driverless cars, and a not-so-distant future where the highways are full of vehicles with empty drivers’ seats.

The truth is, while trucks aren’t yet moving around driver-free, there is already some serious tech inside the modern big rig. This technology is helping trucking companies operate more efficiently and get products to consumers faster. And it means truckers themselves are more tech-savvy — and more important — than ever.

According to a study by Frost and Sullivan, implementing connected truck technology like Omnitracs offers, results in a 10-15 percent increase in productivity, 30 minutes a day in saved labor cost, up to a 25 percent reduction in fuel costs, and up to a 20 percent increase in vehicle utilization.

So, to recognize the important role of trucking and truck drivers in our economy as well as illustrate technologies and solutions to help fleets be more efficient, we created a game. And, because it’s Halloween, we created a zombie game.

Zombie Dispatch takes place in the immediate aftermath of a zombie outbreak. Players must complete a number of truck driving missions to deliver a cure and prevent the possibility of a zombie apocalypse. Players navigate their truck through rural and urban settings, safely dodging debris and damaged vehicles while eliminating the waves of zombies shambling from the infected area.
