Was His Truck Stolen or Borrowed?

Hi Everyone,

I got a call from a bank the other day.   Seems their truck is missing.   They called their customer to see if and when she was going to make a payment, and she said the truck is gone.

Asked what happened, she said her driver has it somewhere and isn’t calling her back.

Usually, we laugh this off as “a driver gone rogue” because it only lasts 2 or 3 days until they come to their senses that they can’t make their great escape in the stolen straight truck.

This one is more serious because apparently he’s gone missing over 2 weeks now.   The bank can’t reach her driver, so they contacted me to see if they could turn in a claim.

As the Lienholder/Loss Payee and Additional Insured, they can indeed turn in a claim as they have first dollar rights to the insurance policy.

So I’ll keep you posted on the “rogue driver”.

Risky Business Moral:   Watch who you give your keys to…they might like the truck more than you do.
