Organizing Cupboards

It quickly became apparent to me that while I can store a lot of stuff in the cupboards of our sleeper I could not always find what I stored.   I also could not reach or see much of what is in the cabinets even with the rope lighting.

Baskets and plastic tubs are used in all of our cabinets as they are stackable and it is easy to see what I have in them.   Bob added a pull out shelf that is just tall enough for cans that about doubled the space in my pantry, plus it is easy to see what cans I have.

I lined the pull out shelf with plastic shelf liner so the cans will not slide and when I have a glass container I slide that into a coozie.   The coozie keeps the glass from rattling against another can.   I also use coozies in the refrigerator.

We finally found a step stool that also serves as an extra chair that I use to see into the cabinets.   The stool fits easily behind the passenger chain in the cab of the truck within easy reach when I need to find something in the pantry.

At MATS this year a group of women drivers were sharing stories of life on the road and the step stool chair came in very handy.

My goal is to make everything multi purpose.
