Is Anything Really Free?
One of my favorite sayings, “Nothing is Free,” but that is not entirely true. Smiling at someone, say “good morning or evening,” is free, and so is friendship. When we give of ourselves and ask nothing in return, that is the definition of free.
Recently we spent the weekend getting our HOS restart, and friends we have known for years were also getting their restart at the same truck stop. We spent the weekend catching up with each other and even sharing ideas and knowledge.
The sharing of knowledge is free and, in reality, can make all of us more money in the future. We discussed ways to streamline processes or even cut out processes not needed. Sharing ideas helps everyone involved with no hidden strings or expectations. We take what we can use and modify the information to fit each of our needs.
When the weekend was over, not only were we refreshed we had additional knowledge to make our jobs easier. It is a win-win situation to share ideas.
