Getting in your first truck

Will you be traveling to get into your first truck or will you be loading the truck close to home?

Remember this new truck will basically be your home away from home.  Cleaning products, eating utensils, chargers, underclothes, floor covering, sheets, blankets, and pillows to name just a few things will stay in the truck when you are on home time. The less that has to be taken out of the truck while you are at home is the less you will forget to put back in the truck when you leave.

The above will get you started on your journey but in no time the truck will be full of everything that is needed to be comfortable.  Something that I believe needs to be added as soon as possible is a dash cam to help protect you.

If you are getting into a fleet owners truck ask to see what kind of freight moving equipment that is in the truck.  Depending on the type of freight you will be carrying to the type of equipment that is needed in the freight box.  If you have bought your truck ask the dealer if they include any freight moving equipment that you might need.
