Christmas in the Caffcadia
I have a few of my favorite decorations in the truck. Even our pets get into the Christmas spirit. Texas has a Christmas collar and last year I found a few outfits for Squeaky on a clearance sale. He has grown a bit in the past year so he only wears the outfits for his photo shoots. This year I do not have much in the truck but it is enough to make me smile and I enjoy looking at the colored lights in the evening. It is great as we drive across the country to see the houses and yards all lit up. Since my shift starts at three in the morning I have found not too many people leave their lights on all night so I really appreciate those that do.
When we first started driving in 2000 my mother in law helped me make this quilt. I did the quilting and Carol put the quilt together. The quilting was done going down the road and helped me pass the day while Bob drove.
I also enjoy my Christmas earrings and try to wear a different pair each day throughout the month. My favorite though is driving first thing in the morning with the stars up above and listening to Christmas Carols. Many people laugh at my choice of Christmas Carols as I like the old songs as well as the religious songs and I know most of them. This is in stark contrast to what I normally listen to during the rest of the year.
December is an uplifting month for me as the year closes down and I end my many spreadsheets and look back at how well the year has gone. I also start looking at how we can change to make the up
coming year the best year yet.
