Catching up with Friends

It is always funny to me the different places you meet up with the same person.   We first met Henry Albert at the Louisville Truck Show (MATS) then we met him for coffee in Saint Louis and then again in Denver attended the CMC conference, then a quick meeting in Kentucky at a Flying J, then in Wilmington and now in Laredo TX.   We talk on the phone all of the time but it is not the same as the face to face meetings when all three of us can chat.   The one cool thing about Henry Albert is you can always keep up with where his truck is at http://sliceoftruckerlife.com/blogs/henry-albert/  Henry always has something interesting to say on his blog. We have had very unexpected surprises while walking through the parking lot of a truck stop and say hey isn’t that so and so?   One I had a really good time with I called a solo lady driver we know and asked her where she was and after she told me I said maybe you should look out your front window!   We have done that twice with her and really had fun catching up.   Some people we are only able to catch up with once a year and others we see often.   Bob had a friend we met out in California and it was three years before we saw them again and none of us remember what the other looked like!   This network of friends keep the road from becoming to lonely as you just never know when you open your door in the morning who will be parked next to you..
