It's a Team's Life

Appreciate what you have!

In the meantime, waiting for the new truck we have stayed busy with projects we have put off doing around the house.  We have also been driving a tractor-trailer for an IndyCar team when they need us to get from one track to another quicker than a solo can drive it.

The truck is a Western Star and is really a very nice truck to drive. The Star has an OEM sleeper and since it is not our truck we cannot customize it for us.  It has been years since we have not had a custom sleeper.  Here are a few of the things I had forgotten about:

·      What it was like to sleep in a twin bed with Bob.

·      Not having a Port-A-Potty

·      Very VERY tiny refrigerator

·      No inverter so I cannot make my coffee before I drive

·      How much rougher a tractor-trailer rides compared to our straight truck

If this was our truck we would customize it to fit our needs and the OEM sleeper would work for us very well.  Still, though our custom sleepers have spoiled us.

When we finally get our new Cascadia with the ARI Legacy Sleeper I will sure appreciate what we have and remember where we started our driving career.  It took many years to get to the point we are now and able to afford this luxury.
