Sum-, Sum-, Summertime...

I didn’t even have to wait for warmer afternoon temperatures yesterday morning for a quick wash. Sunday was a good break from the recent weeks of harsh weather. The conditions Friday were especially treacherous. When I was heading south out of Wisconsin the temperatures started to break at the same time a wave of rain pushed through. The rain was heavy enough to wash away some of the road salt while the ground was still frozen from days of subzero temperatures. The results were acceptably warm temperatures with patches of ice under what seemed to be rain covered roads. I’m calling it zamboni ice. Most of the wintry weather is still ahead of us, but this is a nice break.
