Hangin in Nashville

Well, I delivered in Mississipi just fine... light load, good fuel mileage, not so good a ride... ah well, good to have a load :-)  .  I was glad to get out of the cold and ice.  As I was leaving Illinois, freezing rain was falling... my tires were actually frozen to the ground from sitting still overnight in it.  I broke free easily, but spun a bit in the parking lot trying to get moving.  On the CB, drivers were talking about how bad it was up North of there, and said highways in the North and West were getting shut down because of fast ice build up.  I was even more glad to be heading South.  When I arrived in Mississippi, it was in the mid 60's... what a difference!  When I left Peoria, I had the heat on, and ice was everywhere... as I drove South, I turned the heat down, and eventually had the window down! That's one more cool thing about this job... in sucky weather? Hang on.. next run might be by a beach LOL.

After delivery, I moved up to Nashville to wait.  Still in the 60's, so I was able to sleep with the van off to save fuel, and still be comfortable.  I've been here just over 24 hours now, with no run out yet.  Another van driver pulled in, and he was shocked that I'd been sitting for 24 hrs! I explained tho I'd been here 24 hours, I arrived about noon yesterday, had to sleep, so really wasn't safe to take a run anyway til last night.. rested some more overnight, played on the computer, etc... and got up ready to go this morning... however, no run yet.  There were several runs that went out of Nashville last week, so I'm hopeful for a good run yet today... hoping to get back up towards home, as I have a few things to do there, but ya never know.  Another long weekend run would be nice!
