I was showing my discomfort with someone who seemed to be the very embodiment of entitled, and the only thing money has to do with it is that Ann Romney has alwys been protected by it, to the point that she is outraged that 'we the people' have the right to question her husband's finances, just because he's running for President.
You seem to believe the Republican smokescreen about 'class envy', so how do you explain the absence of disdain for billionaires in the fields of dotcom, sports, and entertainment? Bill Gates could buy Romney from his pocket change, and I have tremendous respect for Gates, and ditto for Denzel Washington, too. It's not about how much money they have, it's about how they got it, and what they do with it.
I am thankful that the founding fathers managed to put their selfish interests aside to create the government they did, because we don't seem to have any political leaders today who could do it.
The Romney's on numerous times have said they will release two years of tax returns. They aren't required to release any more but are continually asked the same question: "Why won't you release more tax returns". So Ann Romney gave her honest answer and you think it is aristicratic snobbery. She was speaking about political hacks that would take any information released ,twist, demogogue and lie about it so people would become distracted from this lousy economy that Obama has presided over. Regarding Romney's finances, he has earned it all legally, paid all his taxes, and has given a lot to charity , and given a lot of charitable contributions to his Mormon church. So what's the problem with that?
