Getting it's first test today here in Orangeburg, Sc .... temp, 90 degrees. Humidity is high and the 8500btu ac mounted in the bulkhead is keeping it nice and cool in here .... as long as I keep the windows covered! That sun on the glass is like a furnace!

I'm now shopping for that external fuel tank, only got 5 hours from the onboard one.

The generator, btw, remains at the low speed setting ... except when the ac cycles, (which, btw, it is NOT doing much!)

I was parked next to a guy yesterday that was using the Yamaha and I can tell you, it was quiet..quieter then my honeywell....

As for the extended run gas tank Nota, this is where I got mine and they have them for the Yamaha 1000i, but you should call and see if they have one for yours..when i bought mine, they didn't list the honeywell at all. but a call to them and they had it...:

DO who!?!? LOL, remember, I am under 10,001 lbs...As for how long. over 24 hrs... I have had it go 29 hrs ...it all depends on how hard the ac unit has to work...the more it cycles the more gas the gen will use...Now that being said, that was on my old in room ac unit. The ac worked really hard in 108* down in Laredo, so the gen worked harder, but I didn't have the extended tank wit me then..the 1.5 gallon tank lasted 5 hrs avg but i didn't let it go empty either before I filled it..and i never let it run longer then 10 hrs before I shut it down....

Now beyond that...LOL...My van has a plastic gas tank in it.I figured out the fuel pump on the gen...i am going to drill a hole as close to the top of the vans gas tank, insert a pickup tube and seal that into the tank...then run a fuel line to the back bumper, install a quick dis-connect fitting...then on another linei'll install a "primer bulb pump" then the other end of the line will connect to a "T" fitting in the line that feeds the fuel pump...

Prime the line with the bulb pump and let it run off te van gas tank ....

Sounds good. A straight truck would have to check on the plastic tank thing.

Yeap, but i am thinking that if it was outside or inside a under the box tool box to be used sitting free standing when in use, it wouldn't be a issue..just like having a empty gas in the tool box...
