What would it take to get Americans or Canadians this riled up?

I realy hope the issue of loosing the right to bare arms never comes to light. I for one would defend that right to the death or the prison gate. I could never agree with legal ownership being taken away when they in no way shape or form have control over criminals having guns or using them in the commission of there crimes. Taking them from law abiding citizens is not the answer. Who then would control the population of wildlife without the hunter. The people for this stricter gun control are only looking at it as criminals use guns they are not looking at it from a hunters stand point other than to think you shouldn't shoot such cute animals not thinking for a moment what a population explosion would occure over a short time without hunters doing what they do,or the billions of dollars that hunters spend helping to maintain a healthy population of wildlife. The beauty of wildlife is because of hunters. Could you imagine if the 4 or 5 deer that visit the corner of their yard grew to 15 or 20 because of gun control,they would then wonder why are the deer so skinny,why does that deer keep falling down and can't get up. Enjoy the beauty and embrace and thank the legal gun owning hunter for helping to provide you that beautiful view and experience.

I have 20 acres between Clare and Cadillac, my sister has 20 adjoining it. My Dad bought it around 1970. After he passed away me and my sister split it and bought it from my mom. I got my first deer when I was 12. A spike with a 6 inch and 8 inch points. My dad did not care that I was supposed to be 14. He sat me out by myself when I was 9 with a 20 gauge single shot and a slug. When I was a kid we packed up the popup and spent nearly ever weekend hunting or fishing. Chelsea, Waterloo a couple of times we went way up into Canada about 400 miles north of the soo. Mom Dad 5 kids a dog a popup camper and 2 boats and 5 bikes tied to the top. This was in a 62 belair, dad was a crazy ole hillbilly. Last gas for 200 miles black nats bears on the shore, while we were out fishing, no campgrounds just find a logging trail and drive till you hit a lake. My first car I traded 2 beagles for. We had pet raccoons 2 different times. So yeah I come from a hunting and fishing background. My brother is a great hunter, me I enjoy it but I do not take it as seriously as him. I have got 16 or 17 deer over the years. My Dad was truly a great hunter, sure he filled many tags that were not his and I remember him butchering the extras in the kitchen.

Watch this video, the little boy who holds his ears after shooting is my son, the man holding the pistol is my Dad. It was taken in front of the old house trailer near LeRoy Mi, (mine now). Before my Dad died unexpectedly he was in the process of making sure all 12 of his grandkids had their own gun. We had to buy 3 or 4 after he died to finish his project.

Oh yeah my guns again:
I have 1 that I bought new- a Remington .308 (my brother got my dads and I wanted one like his after he passed)
I have a Ruger .44 mag 5 shot carbine semi auto not the new lever action ones.
I have a 12 gauge pump made by Sears (JC Higgins)that was my dads yeah it has different threaded chokes and I will not give it up.
My daughters .22 rifle yeah about 18 shot semi auto and thats not going anywhere either.
The best deal I ever got a gun was from a 14 year old punk kid who walked into my Pizzeria with it in a case. He wanted 75 bucks for it and I talked him down to 35, Btw he is lucky he took it cause he wasn't walking back out with it. It is a P-38 from WW2 German side arm worth maybe $800 now, maybe more. I gave it to my dad for fathers day, in the mid 80's and he got it registered. It had never been logged into the US's database. Cool piece, it looks like a James Bond gun.

I had the 1 day deal to get my 1st hunting license. I used to shoot pretty well, not to shabby with my bow either but I don't practice much anymore. I won 5 turkeys one year at the moose lodge on Stoney Creek road in ypsi. My family won like 15, I had the most wins and I was like ten or eleven, (I'm the youngest)

Sounds like it real smooth pump action, and big holes the last 4 or 5 inches(looks like a big muffler). Real nice shotgun! My dad had 2 I had a shorter stock my nephew has that one, I got the one with the longer stock.

Yep, that is the Model 20. It was a good shotgun for the price. It was well made and they hold up well. That P-38 is a VERY nice piece if it is in proper condition. Have you had it appraised?

Poorboy,we will probably never see eye to eye on politics and I have been direct and to the point on that subject but I would never completely write someone off do to their political opinions,life is to short. I'm glad we can finally agree,especially on something like gun rights and hunting.

When I first gave it to my Dad, he had his friend who owned a gunshop in Ypsi (Lee Thomas) look at it. He said it booked at about 700 but trying selling it to a book. LOL
It is in good condition, looks just like the one in the pic.

You would not have a problem selling that one if you ever wanted to. It is a piece that collectors often look for.

I like to remember my Dad as being a hybrid combination of Jed Clampett and Archie Bunker, taking the best qualities of both.

I would rather come up empty and teach my kids to follow the laws and hunting rules than get a boon and crocket deer. You see most libs believe the rules are for others because they know what’s best for others but rarely do they ever follow them themselves.
