How absolutely ridiculous - where is the common sense

Well, the story and headline is misleading at the very least. He doesn't get to watch child pornography in jail - he gets to review the evidence against him. It's not actually kiddie porn until a court judges it to be so. The prosecutor noted: "We don't have to turn over the guns used as evidence for a defendant ... and it's absurd that we have to turn over the child porn as evidence." Well, no, they don't turn over the gun used as evidence, but they absolutely do have to let the defense examine it, either on their own or at a time and place designated by the court. Same with this video evidence.

Probably no chance of the judge ordering the 'review' to take place in such a way that negates any potential enjoyment of the material, right? That's what I thought, sigh. Like the other rights every citizen has, we can't trample it just because he found a way to make it offensive.

Frequently when a fool, or is it idiot, well however the old saying goes, when people represent themselves there is a court appointed lawyer who oversees and is available if needed. This review should fall to that lawyer and the pervert not be allowed to view any of it.
