Lots of good Jan 6th news lately:

Feds continue to roll up arrests of the wannabe insurrectionists/domestic terrorists ... 600+ and counting.

Sedition Hunters is just 21 short of obtaining photos of 2000 individual rioters. They continue to do a yeoman's job identifying the domestic terrorists and assisting Federal law enforcement.

I see today they got a FreeWorks staffer - Brandon Prenzlin - a week or so back. Sadly, he is no longer with FreedomWorks ... :tearsofjoy:

The Jan 6th Committee has issued subpoenas for Mark Meadows, Dan Scavino, Kash Patel, and Steve Bannon ... apparently bypassing any mere requests for info ... :clapping-happy:

Robert Scott Palmer - the guy who attacked law enforcement officers with a fire extinguisher - has accepted a plea deal and will plead to a felony on October 4th. No more gun ownership for him evidently. That's probably a good thing.

David Ticas - who jokingly jokingly referred to himself as “a domestic terrorist” - was recently arrested in California.

Judge Trevor McFadden is granting January 6th rioter Brandon Fellows' request to represent himself - even though he whined to the judge that getting mail in jail was nothing like Amazon.

Brandon has been "studying the law for 3 or 4 weeks" ... so I'm real sure he has nothing to worry about whatsoever ... but get your popcorn ready just in case .... :tearsofjoy:

You know katie hobbs the Democrat that called us Republicans all nazi's......yea her.

Now that the indictment of Trump Organization CFO Weisselberg and the Trump Organization itself has been filed and Weisselberg and the Trump Organization have been arraigned, we finally know the details that have been only speculated about for a long time.

"Prosecutors in court said the counts include a scheme to defraud, conspiracy, criminal tax fraud, offering a false instrument for filing and falsifying business records." (CNN) Weisselberg and the Trump Organization pleaded not guilty. Donald Trump was not charged. The next date of significance in this case is Sept. 20, when a status hearing will be held.

Nothing dramatic came out of the Sept. 20 status hearing. The judge scheduled the trial to begin about a year from now. A defense lawyer for Weisselberg told the court that tax documents were found in an alleged co-conspirator's basement, and, “We have strong reason to believe there could be other indictments coming.” Nothing was said about who else might be charged or when.

In other news ...

"Nearly 11 months after Joe Biden was elected president, the GOP-led review of Arizona's Maricopa County ballots has found no substantial deviation from the vote count reported by the county that helped clinch the win for Biden.

"The review's count was within a "few hundred" of the county's total, according to Republican Senate President Karen Fann. Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan reported that former President Donald Trump had 261 fewer votes than the county’s official canvass gave him, while Biden had 99 more." (ABC News)

Any hopes Trump had that this Cyber Ninja audit would somehow help him overturn the Arizona election results were dashed by today's Cyber Ninja report. The results stand. The election remains valid.

To that point, Republican Senate President Karen Fann, who commissioned the audit, said, "Truth is truth, numbers are numbers and we said that from day one." Referring to the difference between the official state count and the Cyber Ninja count, Fann said. "And those numbers were close. Within a few hundred."

Now if only those that continue to promote "The Big Lie", would finally give it a rest.

Lol 2 videos were released that proves they were let in the capital building peacefully.....its like 2 very different groups were trying to get into the building jan 6th......hmmmm.
Most of them were just walking around looking at their cell phones and taking pictures and selfies and then proceeded to walk through the roped off area.

No there really was 2 different groups.
1. Was let in and calm
2. Was nasty and violent....they broke stuff and attacked police
There was a mix of the 2 groups which is why Ashley Babbitt was shot by a scared cop.
There is also video where a crowd was just mingling until someone from the police launched a flash device at them (unnecessarily it appeared) which created some in the crowd to become agitated,

I never heard of Sedition Hunters until you mentioned them here. Interesting group. Makes it a little scary to participate in a public meeting or protest of any kind, because you do not know if someone will show a photo of you at that event, put a spin on it of some sort, and force you to defend yourself for being there.

That has always been a risk to a degree. I could stand at the podium to address our city council and a photo of me taken in an instant of an odd facial expression might support a caption "Man rages against city council" when in fact I might have been calmly explaining the negative impacts of a proposed tax increase and was just about to sneeze in the midst of my remarks.

Especially with the “shock and awe” mentality of some prosecutors that apparently have abandoned any sort of proportionality with charging what is and isn’t a crime or contriving a certain statute to inappropriately apply to certain actions committed by some with much stiffer penalties than ever before.
Like parading in a public facility to name one. That will get you 6 months in jail or longer.

Proportionality is in the eye of the beholder. When Diane and I delivered radioactive loads to nuclear power plants, we sometimes saw a line on the ground and large signs saying lethal force is permitted against those who cross the line. Our armed escorts told us that if we cross this line, we would be shot dead by the guard in the tower they pointed out.

Obviously, we did not test that statement. We complied and stayed on the safe side of the line. But if we had crossed that line, by just one inch, we could make the case that proportionally, lethal force was not justified. We were no more a threat one inch across the line than we were one inch behind it. Proportionally, we should just receive a gentle warning and no other consequence for crossing the line by a mere inch, right?

What is the average penalty routinely applied for parading in a government building? Is it 6 months or 4 years? Probation? Charges dismissed?
Now check the charges that were administered or lack there of people parading and protesting in government buildings during the Kavanaugh hearings and find the sentencing and penalties that were given to them. They're non existent.
Eye of the beholder of prosecutors( viewed thru partisan lenses) metting out disproportionate penalties for the same act. Is that blind justice?

If the previous 300 people delivering to the same area were also given a warning that would be proportional. If the previous ones were shot at and not given a warning except you that would be disproportionate.
