While fundraising is certainly an indicator of support it does not follow that the candidate or message with the most money behind it wins. Example: Bernie Sanders. Stronger fundraiser than most but loosing ground in the polls. It's not always the case that the one with the most money wins. Nor is it the case that political ads are effective. Lots of ads get run. Some are effective, some are not. All other things being equal, a good ad campaign may be effective. But in this case, many other factors apply.

When I was politically involved in Minnesota, our third-party governor candidate won the election. We defeated $15 million in combined opposition with a budget of $600,000. Voters don't automatically vote for the best-funded candidate or get behind the best-funded message.

I don't see him losing support with his base and many independents. Most of those people believe he is doing a good job and that he is being unfairly attacked by the Dems and the corrupt news media.
Today's press conference was a good example of why he hasn't lost support. He fights back and responds to his critics. He also defends his Secretary of State. Most any other Republican by now would have cowered in a corner in a fetal position.
So he is very accessible to the press with these conferences as well as the helicopter gatherings. And unless Kamala Harris has any say, he will always have Twitter to get his message out.

The Democrats in the House still have to figure out what they're gonna impeach him for. It's a real head scratchesr. Turns out, "just because" really isn't gonna work. As Rep Jim Jordan put it, at this point they're playing "pin the tail on the impeachment theory."

Is funny, because it's true.

They can't put the phone call out there or it will backfire. I don't think it was a mistake Shiff had to make it up. They are trying though.

ABC News: 2nd Whistleblower Comes Forward

Mark Zaid, the attorney representing the whistleblower who sounded the alarm on President Donald Trump's dealings with Ukraine and triggered an impeachment inquiry, tells ABC News that he is now representing a second whistleblower who has spoken with the inspector general.

Zaid tells ABC News' Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos that the second person -- also described as an intelligence official -- has first-hand knowledge of some of the allegations outlined in the original complaint and has been interviewed by the head of the intelligence community's internal watchdog office, Michael Atkinson.

The existence of a second whistleblower -- particularly one who can speak directly about events involving the president related to conversations involving Ukraine -- could undercut Trump's repeated insistence that the original complaint, released on Sept. 26, was "totally inaccurate."

The event is significant because the second whistleblower is said to have first-hand knowledge. Trump criticized the first one for having second and third-hand knowledge. If the second whistleblower is as credible as the first, he/she destroys Trump's argument. The argument was ineffective anyway (impeachment by the House remains highly likely) but the emergence of a (presumably credible) second whistleblower makes it more so.

Regarding, Biden, Trump's onslaughts and Biden's flatfooted response (or lack of response) have hurt Biden. That's a side issue. Biden will be the Democratic nominee or not, investigated or not, and/or found in the wrong or not, depending on how events play out. Whatever happens or does not happen with Biden is inconsequential to the impeachment question. The House seems well on its way to impeaching Trump regardless of Biden's fate.

It doesn't even matter at this point if it is first or second hand knowledge because a Transcript summary was released of the actual conversation. The leakers are not relevant now. But keep em coming.

Then Nancy should have an actual impeachment inquiry vote instead of the sham she's pulling now. Is she afraid all those Dem representatives that were elected in the red districts won't win reelection? Just show them this poll. Its all good. Lol.
