Finally out of Texas. After getting the message to flee Larado, Mary from Cleveland office hooked me up with a very nice paying load.
Houston to Indiana. Sure beats the horrible rates that were coming from Laredo

Got the load off this morning. Needing to get something's done and go home for a day or two. Should be back at it Friday.

Empty in South Bend Indiana.
That was a nice, but very long run. The 200 mile DH to pickup made it a bit more challenging. The only thing I hate more then doing a marathon run, is hearing the people that unloaded say, "just set it aside, (so and so) with pick it up tomorrow". I like making my quota for the week, but would prefer not to get it in 1 day
Time for some R&R, then back at it tomorrow.

Griffin got me a load from Brunswick, GA to Clearwater, FL. I like getting a load from home but now I'm deeper into the no freight zone known as Florida.

I would think in a Str8, between Tampa and Orlando there should be something?
There is, for sure, but you might need to wait a few days. We are just not used to waiting like the vans do.

Turned out to be a pretty good week. Despite my Texas fun, looking at a record setting month. One more week out, then heading home.

I'm near Atlanta, too, and didn't get any calls at all.
Then again, "near" is a relative term. Atlanta, when viewed from the Moon, I'm practically in downtown. When viewed from Macon, nope, not even close. Macon is half way between here and Atlanta.
Wow! I am stunned. The American Trucking Association awarded the Mike Russel Industry Image Award to Load One at this years national conference. What an amazing honor! So proud of our team and company!
