The Federal Reserve, Friend or Foe?

you have apparently not been on a campus as someone who speaks against the status quo or taught in a school.

Education is the problem, education matters and the more educated a society is, the more forward thinking and the more prosperous it becomes.

The failure of people to understand that we indoctrinate people in schools at all levels, we stifle free thinking and in many cases force children to take one point of view while telling them it is wrong to think other than that point of view.

Case in point is global warming, the fact that many teachers take the position that this is only a man made effect of our life styles and the US is to blame for all of it. I didn't make this up by any means but have been told by both parents and teachers alike what is going on in class rooms. The ALGORE movie is mandated watching, it is discussed from the that position I just mentioned and there is no room for other opinions - period.

Extending this to the campus, you can see if you go against the masses on any subject, you are shut down. There is no debating, there is no interaction other than shutting down the people who have a differing opinion.

It starts the moment someone decides to get pregnant. Don't shrug off that responisibilty to institutions.

What does that mean? What are the responsibilities of good parenting? I don't recall ever speaking against or for the curriculums taught at schools.

A good education is only as good as the individual willing to accept that knowledge.

Blaming the schools for the ignorance of Americans is a crutch.

I have had the opportunity to work several jobs in my lifetime to help pay for a decent education. I WORKED for mine. No excuses.

Guess i fed you guys too much fodder to debate...But Thanks for the lessons. I don't think either one of you are 100% correct because of personal beliefs being intermixed with facts, so I'll take it all in the context of which it was written and go on to explore more of the workings of the U.S of A. 2 more years before I am eligible for citizenry.

You can be sure I'll be posting more of my thoughts and observations of you that are American!

BTW..You Americans do think differently, it's subtle..can't put my finger on it but there is a difference....Not good, not bad, just different.

OVM, we think different because we had to. We didn't have a mother country to fall back on nor did we allow ourselves to be ruled by outside forces until the UN came into existence.

Actually it was being debated before you even brought it up.

There is no right or wrong answer when debating an issue. That only applies to facts.

Context is what I would expect you to take it as. Otherwise it would be your words and not mine.

Thanks for contributing. It is good for someone to stir the pot every once in a while.

Different cultures do think differently. If you go down South they live differently as well as think differently from those say of the West or Midwestern regions. It is all about belief systems.

Hopefully you are "not" reconsidering your citizenship.

Citizenship? Here? Me.. OntarioVanMan an American? I have 2 years to consider my options yet...I don't know if you can understand this but spending so much time with Americans I still yearn for my own kind some times...i don't mean that as an insult. When I cross that border there's a sense of security . Like Ahhhh I am home!

OVM, I was serious and not in a derogatory way either.

Look at each country in NA, CA and even SA and they all have had ties to other countries in some form or another except the US.

We had to deal with being ignored at the same time being a vast resource for people who came here to find freedoms that they didn't enjoy or couldn't enjoy in other countries. Our closest brother to this is Canada and even then they didn't become a fully independent colony until when? Canada still has some ties to GB, where we don't. You got to look at things more or less on an international/societal level to see where I am coming from.

Is it a bad thing, these differences? No not at all, it makes us better people to see them.

Yes I am on the road, right now in hot and humid texas soon to be back to somewhere to pick up something else and make more money.

I think the federal reserve is corrupt and needs to be abolished. Also most people don't realize that the whole deal with the federal income tax is corrupt. When the 16th admendment was voted on in 1913 most of the elected officals were out on Christmas break. Plus there weren't enough states that ratified this admendment for it to go through but somehow it still did.

Not one penny of our Federal Income tax goes into our government, it all goes to pay the Fed interest on printing our money! That in itself is illegal according to our constitution.

Imagine if our government has that 900 Billion not the Fed?

The Fed basically is making the American people slaves and endentured survants!

You got it. Mark Twain said it best, "Money is not the root of evil, the lack of it is." Congress spends money it does not have and who pays the price for the Fed. Reserve printing more money? The working class.

We are slaves to this economy.
