The way I see this election is this

1. You can either vote for anouther 4 years of the same and we will be at war with Iran and Mcain said so.
and U I will assure u that this county will loose more troops.
You take that to the bank.
But Hey U all know that I want to go back over there so Vote that way.

2. You can vote for the other guy and He says change well I dont know what change he can do but I do know that I wont get my wish to go over there one more time. I got a good feeling that with him a lot less troops will be lost. I also got a feeling that the Common folk Like my self the blue collar work will benefit if his tax cuts for Us are approved.

But hey whats tax cuts Heck I want to go back over and get that tax free monie and pay my bills off.

In any case who ever wins Ill win if Mcain gets President I know (IM ON MY WAY and getting my wish as I eat it up)
thats why I stay in shape.

If Obamma WIns well I know wont get to go and I can look forward to tax cuts for my self. Sigh I wont get my wish for one more time GRRRRRR but maybe I will be able to afford to buy my own truck.

Either way I win.

Thats looking at this with a double positive perspective.

Leo where have ya been man I did 23 years in the service now because of my MOS NEC Im on a retainer vice a retirement till my 30th year. I wanted to stay 30 but Ur best em buddies put HYTY on the times a person can stay in the military. Infact I stayed longer.
I never had a Retirement cermonie as I came in I left the Military on the Midwatch. I had a hand shake and was given a shadow box Unsealed, no cake or cermonie or anything that will come when I hit my 30th year. This was back in May 31 2005.

Now Leo interesting isnt I can be recalled and golley Im waiting and praying. and If we got to war Ill be Right in the thick of it. Still dont understand, Well let me break it down for ya. Leo, Billy Clinton Cut the military thus forcing them to put HYTR = how many years a person can stay in the military. Do you understand that. Oh Leo that was the same time Frame that Admiral Borda who was the Head Hog of the Joint Chiefs of Staff got Killed. Now Leo do I need to educate you on that Leo well I will. He Basicaly told Bill Clinton what He could do with himself. Well Borda was shot and another bum put in his place and then the military impoosed how long one could stay in the military. well I did 23 years. But as I stated I get a retainer check which is the same is a retirement check each month but its a retainer check till my 30th year. Everything the Medical dental all the that is the same as an retireee but Im not retired Im on a retainer because of what I did my last years in the military.
Ya see Leo instead of handing out basket balls In a gym I stepped up and put on the cammies I had fun Water Mud fun ya. Leo and maybe you understand and then again maybe U dont.
Unlike the rest of the guys that retired Well I was not ordered to stand down from the watch I was not properly relieved yet that will be my the 30th year 2012 May 31st.

Hmm On that date Ill will have my retirement cermonie and I will be relieved from the watch till them. I am waiting.
Now is that simple enough I sure hope so.

I knew that Clinton was no friend of the military or the nation and that he screwed things up pretty well. I missed wherever you previously said you'd done 23 and couldn't do more unless recalled. That's clear enough. I hate to think how tough it will be to do the job when Obama calls you back. He'll make Clinton look like one of the military's best friends in decades.

When I got my discharge I got a K-Bar fighting knife with an inscription carved in it. My platoon collected money and bought it for me behind my back. I told them I liked it but a going away get together with a chance to take pictures would have been good enough. So they threw me a going away party. Good group of guys.

We had a 36 year old Lance Coropal (E-3) that was put out during Clinton's years. He was younger then. After 9/11 he re-enlisted. He loved the Marine Corps. He would talk about how much farther along he would have been in his carrer if he didn't get cut loose.

And besides, we are already at war with Iran. They attacked us back during Jimmy (WAAAAAAAAaa I can't do a D*mn thing) Carter's reign. He did nothing then, Osama Obama will do nothing now, except maybe fund thier war chest with our tax dollars. What a total fool he is. Only a Democrat can add 1+1 and get 1173. That is how you can have "FREE" health care. You will have taxes out your kazoo, maybe even a VAT (value added tax for those of you who never lived in a socialist state like England) That will really ramp up the cost on things and then the system will lose money and they will raise taxes more and then the system will become corrupt and they will raise taxes more and cut services. Just like Social Security, they spent every penny and raised taxes then lied about it, then Linden Johnson put it "on budget" to hide the cost of the war and raised taxes and now they are talking (the Dems) about raising the S.S. tax again and the age of full retirement to 75. Leo Clinton did mess alot of things up. oh ya we had a surplus in this country but who paid for it dearly well your military when we went to fight. Body armor and armor in the vehicles ect. ok icyroad i'm confused. HYTR .. is that the same as the up or out program? ie: if you don't get promoted you get forced out. on retainer? is that some type of inactive service? is that something with the reserves? national guard? for regular army I understand active duty vs retired. but am unfamiliar with 'on retainer'. i know many 'retired' soldiers with 'hip pocket orders' who if there was a 'national emergency' could be recalled to active duty. although i retired in 92 in theory i could be recalled to duty at any time. doubt it would ever happen as the army eliminated my specality about a year before i retired. besides that my bunions would complain about wearing combat boots.
