Specter Joins Democrats; Senate Count May Reach 60

Oh yeah the thread topic,
Specter finally realized that the GOP is totally out of touch with REAL Americans and their party is dead.

This could backfire on Spector....he could lose his seat anyhow...since he's done nothing as a senator for quite sometime....

The one who might be out of touch is you. You are either trolling with everything you can muster or have lost touch. Sphincter realized nothing except his years of charade had come to an end and his choices were either call himself what he is and always has been and hold a slight hope of reelection or continue to lie about what he is and lose for sure.

I believe that you are the one who is trolling, The mans name is Specter and he has served this country for many years. The childish name calling just shows your lack of intellect. It is just like a child who hasn't gotten their way to start name calling.

I have posted several positive posts about how our President has been gaining worldwide respect and our economy is showing signs of life. You continue to troll by and refute anything good is happening. You Sir Are The Troll!

Now that the pillar of righteous had crossed the floor to join the other deviates wasn't he the head of the commission that crucified Clinton on the Monica affair..while he himself was romping around with some mistress!! HAHA

Perjury - NOT GUILTY
Republicans: Chafee of Rhode Island, Collins of Maine, Gorton of Washington, Jeffords of Vermont, Shelby of Alabama, Snowe of Maine, Specter of Pennsylvania, Stevens of Alaska, Thompson of Tennessee, and Warner of Virginia.

Obstruction of Justice - NOT GUILTY
Republicans: Chafee, Collins, Jeffords, Snowe, Specter

Arlen Specter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
His opposition to Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork in 1987 is seen as an important factor in the nomination's failure; indeed, many conservative Republicans have never forgiven him for opposing Bork. However, he raised the ire of many Democrats who had supported him for years with his aggressive questioning of Anita Hill during the Clarence Thomas hearings in 1991, claiming Professor Hill had committed "flat-out perjury" in her testimony.

In 1998 and 1999, Specter criticized his own party for its impeachment of President Bill Clinton. Believing that Clinton had not received a fair trial, Specter famously cited Scots law to render a verdict of "not proven" on President Clinton's impeachment. However, his verdict was recorded as "not guilty" in the Senate records.

It's obvious to me, that Specter is a Democrat. Calling a turd a rose doesn't change the fact. Approval polls during his last election prove the fact... 62% of Dems, compared to 55% of Repubs. Plain and simple, he knew he'd get beat in the PA primaries in 2010; and therefore, jumped ship to the party that likes him better.

Good riddens, I say! Now, the Dems can only look to themselves to blame for what Congress does. I just hope Collins, Snowe, Lindsay Graham, and McCain follow suit!

Yep Specter is honorable, as Hawk's post shows. Standing up to all of those other Republicans takes courage and resolve to do what is right. I don't like the GOP either but calling them turds is not right Hawk.

Whatever floats your boat, TROLL. When you come up with facts, instead of heart-felt garbage, then you may actually have what's called 'ammunition' for this forum.

At least Tallcal brought a little intelligence to the table.

I voted against Specter the entire time I lived in PA. ONLY the city putzes vote for him. He loses almost all of the out of city counties. He is very much out of touch with the country folk in that state and has really hurt the economy in rural areas with foolish votes on logging etc. I know you may not believe it Doug, people in the country have different political needs than city folk. Remember that they produce all of your food, most of your water and fresh air. Cities are just users of these important things, not producers. They are very much akin to leeches.

While you are at it I am getting tired of you calling me names or ridiculing my beliefs. I am entitled to mine as much as you yours. I try NOT to attack people, just polititions. You could try to do the same. I have different experiences, backround and core beliefs. You have yours. I have the right to live my life as I see fit and frankly, you or no one else has the right to stop me in anything. So you can say anything you like EXCEPT no personal attacks. To put it in the turn of todays people, CHILL OUT!!

If I called you any names I apologize, I really just cannot stand any polititon. They all suck. Layoutshooter

Hey Doug... you can call me names. Please. I need the entertainment. I've sat in this truckstop so long I am numb.

BTW, you are actually a good sport to endure the likes of me and other conservatives. You've become our favorite pinata! You come into this forum knowing you're outnumbered 50:1. That takes some moxie. No punts, no bunts. Swing for the fences.

Maybe is a failure of pronouns. You support YOUR president. Just because he's the one sitting in the office doesn't make him everyone's president.

Nah, I couldn't sleep at night if I called you names. I actually think I'd like you if we ever met. My best friend for about 30 years now is a right winger, we just choose to not talk politics. I have no problems with your religious beliefs either. The thing that gets me is when people try to push their beliefs on others. It is like the Gay Marriage issue, alot of people are against it because of their beliefs. That's fine then don't be Gay and get married to one of the same sex as you. If 2 gay people want the option of getting married, it doesn't lesson my marriage or hurt me so go for it. In fact maybe we should make Gay Marriage mandatory for them, just kidding hehe.

He is the President of The United States of America, if you are an American he is your President. You don't have to like it but the fact is Obama is YOUR president too, just as W was mine.

Come on, Doug.... marriage is a heterosexual relationship. For thousands of years, and in all corners of the world, marriage is understood to be exactly what it is. It is self-evident and requires no explanation.

I'm still a little upset that Spector joins the ranks of those who kill disgusting babies. I had no idea.

I agree it is not for me either. My point is why should we care if gay people want to be married? Why do you care?

It is a definitional impossibility. Marriage is a human construct bestowed upon the union of a man and a woman. Any other relationship is something other than marriage.
