Sorry Turtle

I just want to say that I am sorry for "Ragging" on Turtle in that "other" Post.

I don't play "word" games very well on that subject. It was and is far to "real" for me. It is not a history subject or a subject for "discussion". All my friends who died in that "quest" are REALLY dead. They died fighting an EVIL that is still with us. It lives today in Russia, Iran, China, North Korea and I fear, and believe, in many of our national level polititions.

You are all welcome to be "scared" of me, or "ridicule" me or what ever. I know that you all don't feel like that, but enough do. So be it. We all did what we did so you could.

I live my life by a Code of Honor. That will never change. I live and might die by that Code. Many before me have and many other today are dying by that Code.

The lyrics of two songs sum up my life better than anything. They may explain things.

The Impossible Dream (The Code)

To dream ... the impossible dream ...
To fight ... the unbeatable foe ...
To bear ... with unbearable sorrow ...
To run ... where the brave dare not go ...
To right ... the unrightable wrong ...
To love ... pure and chaste from afar ...
To try ... when your arms are too weary ...
To reach ... the unreachable star ...

This is my quest, to follow that star ...
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far ...
To fight for the right, without question or pause ...
To be willing to march into Hell, for a Heavenly cause ...

And I know if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest,
That my heart will lie will lie peaceful and calm,
when I'm laid to my rest ...
And the world will be better for this:
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage,
To reach ... the unreachable star ...

Try to Remember (The dream I wish for)

Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a tender and callow fellow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.

Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.

Try to remember when life was so tender
That no one wept except the willow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That dreams were kept beside your pillow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That love was an ember about to billow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.

Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.

Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.

Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.

Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
Although you know the snow will follow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
Without a hurt the heart is hollow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
The fire of September that made us mellow.
Deep in December, our hearts should remember
And follow.

Sorry Turtle,

Try to understand.

I for one respect very much your service and the service of your friends who gave their lives. I would never in any way try to belittle or dismiss your service to this country. I understand completely that if not for all of you we wouldn't have what we do have, regardless of the struggles we face today. Having said all that, I think maybe you come on little too strong sometimes...Just my opinion.

Sorry, but there is not such thing as too strong. We were right then and now. There is only right and wrong in life, no middle ground. I know what happened then, I can see what is happening now. Sorry if you can't see what I can. Sorry if you don't understand. I guess that is just not my problem.

I will not give in. I will never accept what is happening to the greatest country that ever exsited. What is going on today is a slap in the face of all those who died to insure that what is happening in this country today would never happen. It is the ultimate betrail. Layoutshooter

You stand up for what you believe in Layout, and that really says something about a person. It takes a lot of courage to stand firm and I truely respect you for that. :)

Thank You, maybe we will meet someday. I hope that some in here think that this is about me alone. These feelings are the feelings of many Patriots. Layoutshooter

Good, I'll have to bring my uncle's bull. He never did like me for some reason. Every time I stepped into the field and saw me, here he came charging after me. Not sure how I offended the bull or even how to offend a bull. :D

Oh, I guess were talking about a different type of bull. :)

No apology necessary. But you do, frankly, at times come on a little strong. The "we did it for YOU," thing wears a little thin, especially since you're not the only one who did it or experienced any of it. My dad served in the Navy in WW II. His younger brother was also in the Navy and was an "interested observer" who was killed in 1963 while on the wrong side of a line drawn on a map in southeast Asia, so it never happened. I have another uncle who is a "retired" Army Colonel who is living and working in Germany, and has been for nearly 30 years. His wife officially works for the US Department of State, and has for nearly 30 years. His two daughters also have the same employer, one is now currently working in suburban Maryland and the other is in Hungary. My mom's brother was a Major in the USAF and retired to become a forest ranger in Colorado. My mom's sister, going back to the Nixon Administration, worked for the US Department of Agriculture until she retired 8 years ago and lives a quiet life in Arizona. Her Dept of Ag office was in a rather large "company" office building in suburban Virginia. One of her sons is an Army officer who was in Iraq for quite a while and is now a base commander in Afghanistan. Another of her sons is retired Navy and has a State Department diplomatic post in one of the Baltic States. And her third son is the head of an emergency rescue team attached to the US Army, the Department of Homeland Security, and FEMA. It was he who recommended me for the work I did in Oklahoma City after the federal building was bombed, and that led to me being locked in the basement of the Pentagon for several weeks after 9/11 while working as part of a team to piece back together data that was critical in ensuring minimal loss of life leading up to the invasion of Afghanistan.

So don't think you're the only one who can see what is happening or are the only one that understands what a Code of Honor is. You're not the only Patriot in the room to do their bit for King and Country.

I'm not saying you need to back off or change a thing, tho. There is something to be said about standing firm in what you believe in. But you might want to try a little more of a calculated pragmatic view of the sky as it falls. That way you'll get a better idea of which parts are falling, and where, rather than assuming it's all coming down at once, right on top of you.

That's why I carry a shell. :D

It is not about me, I don't care if I come on too strong, and yes, Obama his ilk are the devil incarnate. Those are my beliefs. I frankly don't care what anyone else thinks.

I also don't care if the "we did it for you wares thin". I would be ashamed too if I could be pragmatic about what is going on in thise country.

What is going on is wrong, dead wrong. There is no other way to look at it. Everything that is going on today is anti-freedom, anti-Republic, anti-Constitution and anti-American.

I don't "gives chances" to traitors, nazis, communists and anarchists. I don't "give chances" to William Ayrs or Barrack Obama's. I guess I am not as sorry as I thought. They are the embodyment of my enemy. That will never change. I guess that is the nature of what I believe a man is. I believe in what is right. There is no room for comprimise.

We were right in 1948, '62 and now. I know that for a fact. Too strong, no, it is called having the courage of your convictions. Standing for a principle. What ever you want to call it. Old fashioned, yes, I am. Thank God for that.

You don't care what anyone thinks, everything that is going on is wrong, you don't give chances to their ilk, they are your enemy, there is no room for compromise, stand for a principle. Yet.... all you're doing about it is regurgitating the same thing over and over again on a Web site that the political and real world could care less about. Anti-freedom? Anti-Republic? Anti-Constitution? Anti-American? Well, other than posting here, what are ya gonna do about it? Because if that's it, then all you're doing is compromising and giving them chance after chance after chance. Standing for a principle is all fine, well and good, but you need to be standing in a place where it matters. And this ain't it.

I did what I could for 20 years. That is more than most did. IF it comes to it, I WILL fight again. I am almost 60, but I will fight. Many have put thier lives on the line before, with me and after. I stand with them.

That time will come and it is coming fast. Everything that I fought for and believed in is now under threat. The biggest threat since Nakita.

It is a shame you cannot see it. I guess too many have had it too easy for too long.

Maybe a little pain will wake some up.

Don't under estimate my resolve. You have not idea.

I also think it is time to let this drop. You have no idea where I am coming from. My kind of resolve is forgien to you, at least from what I can gleen from your writing.

I am NOT an acidemic. I only deal in reality. I know what I saw. I know what others saw. I know what I and others did and why. Nothing can change that. Nothing will change my beliefs.

That is how it is.

I hope your loads are light, the pay per mile is high, and the miles are safe and long.

Thanks rocket, I guess I should call you names or make fun of you to. I try to explain. I see that it is a waste of time. You all just do as you please. I ask two things, LEAVE ME OUT OF IT and when you find your freedom gone, don't complain where I can hear you. Layoutshooter

Ya know Rock...Layout is True American Traditionalist...hardcore traditional. He could be the last of a dying breed called the "ORIGINAL American".

Joe stands by the values of your Constitution with no twisting or bending of the words, unlike a lot of Americans now INCLUDING yourself that seems NOT to have a problem with doing so....

The actions of this will be soon seen in the future and be lived out in the present and be part of your history for all to learn which ever way it it works out.

Well Joe...I am defending your right to see the happenings here in either black or white.

As Rock has the right to see his view in a more gray shade...
It could be said his view is a nutjob...its all perception...;)
