Sorry, no one was ever stopped from getting health care, they just have to pay for it. Now we are FORCED to buy it, at what will end up being much higher premiums, to pay for those who are too lazy, dumb, or unwilling to cover the responsibility of taking care of their own health.

My HSA is likely to be outlawed under this law. It works fine for us, we can AFFORD it! It gives US control over our own care. ANYTHING else will cost us more than we can afford.

In all reality, I would rather have NO health care and live free than have this horror and live a life of slavery.

Yes, I truly believe in "Better dead than Red". God created us to live free, to determine our own destiny, to live as we see fit. NOT to be dictated too.

It is that simple for me. We are each responsible for our own lives.

ANY Federal/State or local employee that took the same or similar oath to protect and defend our Constitution that supports or enforces this law is breaking the oath that they took. SO, that means that they don't believe that taking an oath means anything or do not believe that our Constitution means anything.

I also know, that just like in the year or two prior to the start of the Civil War, members of our military are talking among themselves to decided who will uphold their oath to the Constitution and who will not and will fight their fellow citizens.

Sad times.

Actually wrong....if your premiums are going to be in excess of 8% of your income, a person is exempt from purchasing HC and the fine is waived...according to what I have read...

I pay no where near 8% of my income on health care. I refuse to pay one penny more. I keep what I have or fight. I will NOT pay the fine and will NOT submit to arrest. OK Barry, your move.

Well, I have health care, nothing much will change for me unless i have to pay some more taxes.And i dont think you will have NO Constitutional rights left. But a person also has a right to live and not giving people access to heath care doent give that either. I know the agruments, everyone could buy it, but the truth is, no they cant. For some it may be they can buy some insurance for there kids and not themselves, so they dont get proper treatment.

you have said this 8% thing a few times...and yes that is Particially true, but not "blanket" it is only true to the least expensive plan that will be available from the government run "exchange", not to each and every insurance plan...

That is the type of plan we have. Affordable and covers us for anything major. It does have a few preventative visits etc. Way less than traditional insurance. The monies you deposit in your HSA are taken off the top, they lower your taxable income. The interest is not taxed and the as long as you use the money for health care it is not taxed when withdrawn. Most likely is going to be outlawed. The Dems hated HSA and fought them tooth and nail. Of course, the Dumb-O-Crats hate anything that allows the people to control thing instead of them.

No problem on the link. Now i will be the 1st to admit that when any issue of my money comes up, it is whatever is in "MY" best intereest that u worry about, so with that said are we to figure that sense there is no penalty for you, the bill is ok as far as you are concerned!?!?

By the way, i have paid for my own and myfamilies insurance for over 20 yrs of some type of self employment...and i will continue, if anything ( my agent is sure yet) i may have to pay a "Tax" because of what is called a "cadillac plan"....as long as the insurance company can stay in business that is....but while I will have that insurance , and i will pay the added tax, i in no way can say this is a good bill....LOL, barry even came out today on the GMA show and said that this bill does little to control cost and there will be many adjustments needed as time goes on...yea they got exactly what they wanted, they kicked open the door to a "single payer" government control and issued socialized medicine.....thats the adjustments that will come..as insurance comoanies close there doors over time and because of how the bill is written , everyone will have to get their insurance from the gov controlled pool.....

Once the Bill of Rights is ignored, like the 10th amendment, all bets are off. It is a slippery slope that never ends in more freedom.

Explain how I have been able to buy my own for most of my adult life, starting way back in 1974. For most of our married life we have paid for part or all of our health insurance.

We are not special. I am the son of a miner. I was not raised in privilege. We did it by working hard, sometimes multiple jobs, to insure that we had what we needed.

When careers went bad, when the area that we lived in went bad, we moved to insure that we had enough income to meet our needs. Health care and other things that are IMPORTANT came BEFORE luxury items, like cable, fancy cars, boats etc.
That is what responsible adults do. Shoot, we even moved to England for 5 years, forgoing friends, family and everything we loved to insure that our kids and the family had what we needed.

Now, if what it seems is going to happen, we will for the very first time NOT be able to afford health care.

We will have the choice of going into debt to pay or it or become criminals.

We can only hope and pray that the courts uphold the Constitution and strike this pig of a bill down. Then maybe we can set about truly fixing the problem.

This bill is NOT going to lower costs, it is going to raise them, and raise them high. It will put many, like us, out of the market.

It has already curtailed freedom. Nothing, I repeat, nothing is ever worth losing freedoms for.

All this bill proves is that I wasted 20 years defending our Constitution. It is amazing that, for what maybe the first time in history, that a a country gave up freedom and asked to have their lives controlled by a government. Everyone who died for those freedoms are rolling over in their graves today.
