Sarah Palin fueling speculation

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has hired a long-standing Republican political strategist as chief of staff of her political action committee.

The hiring of Michael Glassner fuelled fresh speculation about her possible intent to run for president in 2012.

Mrs Palin has said she is "considering" a presidential run.

Mr Glassner managed Republican vice presidential operations in 2008, when Mrs Palin was Senator John McCain's running mate.

I think it speaks for itself, hiring the guy who screwed with you on one campaign to run your next one. Glassner was part of the "let's hide her" problem and I thought he was the one who set up the disastrous CBS interview and didn't want her to outshine the great imitator - McCain.

She can run in the primaries, but outside of employing more freinds with campaign contributions, I can't see her winning. Her place should be running the RNC and shaking that up.

While I don't have any issues with her, she certainly is as qualified as what occupies the WH now if not a bit more...I don't think she can win....unless it would get to a "anybody but obama" race...

I agree but I also don't think she can raise the $300 million to run. The money will be the main problem for Republicans in 12.

Yes she can - don't doubt for a minute that she can raise the money. There is a segment of the GOP and independents that like her very much, in spite of what the mainstream media may claim. I would also disagree with the notion that money will be a problem with Republicans in 2012. People will be coming out of the woodwork to contribute to the defeat of Barack Hussein Obama. Lastly, I do agree that Palin won't be the Republican nominee - the public has had enough of rookies playing POTUS.

I am with Pilgrim, she can get the money and so will other Republicans that are in the mix...I just don't think she can get out of the primaries...and as Greg said and I have said before, she should have taken over the RNC....she missed the bout there.....
