Obamacare: Saving face while losing a nation

The big vote today is not so much about healthcare reform as it is about saving Obama's presidency. This man is reckless. Obama has made a huge legislative bet he cannot cover. Rather than allow Obama to suffer a staggering setback, Congressional Dems feel obliged to pass a wildly unpopular bill.

Is this the template Obama will use in future power grabs? His legislative brinksmanship is fraught with considerable political risk to himself and the larger Democratic brand. Many, many Dems will go down in political defeat for propping up this socialistic behemoth.

We can expect several legal challenges to undo or stop Obamacare. This would have to happen quickly. Once Obama's scheme of socialized medicine is established, takes root and becomes accepted... it becomes a fait accompli.

Kill this legislation in the crib or embrace American serfdom.

I want to know if one of the challenges that will be forthcoming will be one based on Roe v. Wade over privacy.

There is something about the state being involved with medical procedures and the privacy between you and your doctor.

Once we get into the mandated health care regiment, restrictions on care and so on, then it may step right on the SC decision that cleared the way for abortion.

As for Obama, I think he lost his presidency a long time ago - if he can't get things passed with a congress doing business in the daylight and has to revert to weekend work and night time closed door sessions, it shows the weakness of his administration and the mistake the country but more importantly the democratic party has made.

Now all they would Have to do is "Find" a Judge who Isn't a Capon and Has the Stones to Stand up to these Criminals! But I Really Doubt if any of the Judges would actually Stand up to them!
