The popularity of a poster of Obama shouldn't really be that surprising. He's been plastered all over every media outlet for the past 3 years. It's the power of suggestion..It's imprinted on the brains of those who soaked up all the hype and constant bombardment.
Seriously though, when I was a younger door to door salesman back in the 1970's, I often worked in the inner city. A great number of older black people had pictures of both JFK and Bobby Kennedy alongside Martin Luther King hanging on their wall. This was quite common even through the 1980's. I think it was just a way of showing their desire for fairness and hope. Much like the message Obama has been plying us with these days.

Obama's messege brings me no hope, only dispare, anger and sadness. Layoutshooter
His message to the Wall Street fatcats gave me hope. As did the message to the bankers lining up for taxpayer money.
Has any President in recent memory had the guts to tell them that their greed is shameful? Nope, they were too worried about their own future campaign donations to speak the truth, IMO.
Another message I liked: admitting that in the matter of vetting Cabinet selections, he "screwed up"(his words). As I recall, that was more of an admission than Bush could bring himself to utter, no matter how obvious it was.
I think Obama is going to be a good President, in the long run. I'm also favorably impressed by the actions of Mrs O: visiting all the federal agencies to say "Thank you" - not for campaign donations, but for the work they do - that shows class, I think.

Greed or stopping greed, giving my money to bums, rich or poor, is NOT the job of the President. He surrounds himself with criminals, thugs and idiots. He sucks!!!! He just plain sucks!!!
