I am NOT a good proofreader. I had proofreaders working for me.
I have read about 30-40 books on the subject. NONE were even close to reality. My nephew took a course on the Cold War, he would show me his "homework". I read most of his text. It was SO different from what happened I did not even recognize it. Even when they were discussing events that I personally took part in.
Of course not one is required to study anything. If you have no interest then you don't I do believe, however, that not having a good working background of WWII and the "Cold War" makes it VERY difficult to understand current events since that are so completely intertwined. What is going on in Tibet was the Cold War. The Dhali Lama is alive today because CIA agents went into Tibet and got him out. The first CIA agent killed was killed in Tibet.
Everything we see today, in Burma, Tibet, the mess with Taiwan, Korea and on and on is due entirely to the Cold War.
To each his own to be sure. It can make it hard in the voting booth to decide if you have no understanding of the problem. It is my personal belief that it is a grave responsibility to know recent history. Without that we enter that voting booth and just pull levers. Just my opinion.
Ok my daughter inlaw was always protective of here first born.
She soon learned that after a while boy will be boys and get hurt.
some girls also.
As far as "happy meals" they get to eat them, but they also eat other foods. They play and such outside in the yard, park etc.
These decisions should be up to the parents. not perfect politicians who have nannys to raise thier children.

Parents haven't been doing too well either: the childhood obesity rates have doubled in just 2 years! That's not just a lot of unhappy fat kids, it's a lot of unhealthy fat kids, growing up to be fat adults with diabetes, cardiac, and joint disorders caused by excess weight.
It looks like responsible parents are a real minority in America, or they're just overwhelmed by the constant battles with kids who want the wrong things, because advertising shoves it at them 24/7.
Either way, 'the parents' need some help, and so do the kids.
Cheri, I give up. You don't understand a single word I say and I just don't understand a single thing you say. We speak totally different languages.
Our backgrounds, educations, life experiences etc are SO different that we just have NO frame of reference to have intelligent discussions.
